I know Rhule played there and I think he coached there for a short time? Maybe that would be a draw for him. That would also mean that either Franklin moved on or was fired. I certainly wish he'd had the desire to stay with us longer....but he was at least very upfront about his desire to have a shot at the NFL.
Now that's he's given that a shot I'll be curious to see how long he sticks with Nebraska.
He's not going to parlay Nebraska into a better college gig. If he can take them (a big if btw) to the mountaintop, he's going to try to get back to the NFL. If the NFL still doesn't come calling, he has every incentive to stay and zero incentive to leave.
I certainly don't see him leaving for MSU - that seems bizarre to me.
