I do not think QB1s from P4 schools leave very often unless it's for a grad transfer degree. I am not saying it can't happen I just don't think it happens often.
I also look at the programs that are "bigger"than Baylor and how many of those do not have a QB who was a 4 or 5 star coming out of high school.
I think if you are an Ohio State and always bring a senior transfer QB in to start, it impacts your ability to recruit younger players. You have to be careful when you are a mega program.
I am also off course concerned about losing BWash as well as Sawyer.
The profile of player Baylor recruits is critical to holding them with our program.
Of course anything is possible, but listening to BWash and Sawyer after the game on Saturday, it certainly didn't sound like anyone was looking to go elsewhere. They both talked about the culture here.
It it worth remembering also that this board was full of "experts" last year who were telling us we would lose half the team to the portal. There is something going on in the locker room (positive) that is beyond the view or opinion of most posters on this board.
It isn't all about money. Location and who you are working with matters. I and other friends during my working career had plenty of offers to go to places for significantly higher pay. Both the positives of where we were made all the difference that those offers couldn't overcome. That may be the attitude in that locker room, at least I hope it is so.
