Ah. Well, the game is +20 days away, so I'll check the webs again tomorrow and see the official announcements.

That's what happens when your AD skedaddles out of town just before bowl selection and no one is left in charge to plead your case.

TCU is confirmed in New Mexico Bowl against Lousiana Lafayette Ragin Cajuns. This makes me very happy because on KillerFrogs they are ticked.

On KillerFrogs they are saying TCU turned down the Liberty Bowl. Don't know if it's true, but crazy if so.

Yeah they also declined an offer to be the 12th seed in the play off this year. Their fan base is starting to sound as weird as Aggies.

Fair point. Who are the candidates for that opening btw? Do the folks here who go to the TCU board see anything over there about that?

Baylor is 2 - 0 against LSU in bowl games ('63 Bluebonnet, '85 Liberty) I like the history.

2:30 pm kickoff so option exists to fly in that morning and fly out after game. A good deal for some.

If it helps Houston Hobby is only 11 miles from NRG where the Texas Bowl is played.

The last time LSU went to the Texas Bowl (as I recall) about half their team opted out and consequently Kansas State destroyed them. I wonder what will be the situation this go around(?).

I have to think these NIL agreements have some sort of stipulation about sticking around for the bowl game.

Not an absolute must win. But if Dave pounds a sec team everyone will be completely on board and the goodwill will be completely back. Type of momentum that leads to titles the following year.

Happy with our offense. Not yet seeing the defensive guru in points scored against us. If he can clean that up and IF we can keep our OC there's at least another good season ahead at least in how it projects.

Huh?

Have we pounded anyone with a pulse in the past 3 seasons?

Hint: "With a pulse" excludes FCS teams and teams named Kansas or Texas Tech.

NIL cannot be tied to athletic performance and having to play a game would be just that.

It is one of the few rules in place.

What is your definition of a team with a pulse? TT finishing 8-4 with wins over both teams that played in the B12 Title game doesn't have a pulse?

We beat them 59-35 on the road.

I am hoping that when revenue sharing begins it can somehow be tied to bowl games and playing in them.

While pay to play is (theoretically) strictly prohibited, there may be stipulations or bonuses tied to appearances while on the team during bowl weeks. I feel like that's the way around the rule.

So Aggy would rather face a 6-6 USC than play us?

We will roll them. This is a reward for us. Most of their top players will look at it as a punishment and sit out.

NIL agreements cannot contain any clause forcing you to play in a game because it then becomes pay for play which is illegal. I know. It seems like NIL is pay for play but it isn't. You can run it by David Kaye or anyone in our athletic department and they will tell you the same.

Had we beaten Colorado he would have added them as a team with no pulse. Same goes with BYU. His agenda is falling apart in front of his eyes. It's all about the poster being right than good things happening to the program.
