Name the last year when hiring a HC in CFB was anything but a crapshoot (other than for blue bloods).

379 yards allowed through 3 quarters is unacceptable. Most unacceptable is a 65 yd td run immediately after cutting an 18 point lead to 7.

I am fine roughing it through a two year downturn if it means a chance to return back to having a fun energetic team to watch.

I was just listening to the other game halftime. Heavy praise for Matt Patricia, former NFL coach, now DC at Ohio State. They were talking about how he has simplified his system for college players, less thinking, more reacting and playing fast.

There is a message in there for others to learn from.

That was part of CAB's genius. His system was very simplified...but lethal. He didn't even need a playbook.
