Please create an "Art's Excellent ENMU Adventure" subsection, so that all of our many Art Briles fans can congregate there.

Art finally has his second chance, and all of his fans finally have a chance to support him as an active head coach again.

I say we support that...by creating a safe space for them. All of the rest of us promise we'll never bother them at all - they can sing his praises and curse Baylor to their hearts' content in their own place to call home.

It's a drinking game, but admittedly one that is hard to keep up with since you're supposed to drink ever time they mention Art.

now it's a Win/Win/Win - with the tertiary Win being that any time you need to get drunk in a hurry, you just pull up the Art's Excellent Adventure thread and bingo bango you're hammered.

Disclaimer...I was one of the harshest critics of the BOR back on BaylorFans when everything went down in 2016. So keep that in mind as you read my comments below.

I don't think it is a case of not liking Art. Yes, he got dumped on, but it was in his power to have prevented the situation on the football side if he would just have kept a closer finger on what was going on with his players. When you say something along the lines of yeah, there are some bad dudes, it screams that you knew something was not as it should have been.

Fling away, but that mess could have been prevented with just a little bit closer eye. But that is the way it was back then. I remember seeing a clip of Nixon associated with the Watergate fiasco. He made the comment about how "they changed the rules". He was right, the stuff that went on then had been done before by Presidents of both parties for decades and no one cared. Our current political environment over the last decade of so has been the same way. Politicians get away now with things that would have been career enders in the past.

Art was not doing anything that Stoops, etc. probably hadn't done, but the environment changed and Baylor was the first to have to steer a path based on the "rules have changed". But even with that, the coach still didn't have the pulse of what his players were getting into, at least I hope he didn't yet still let it go on.

I still have an autographed ball by Art in my bookcase that I won at one of the preseason banquets. So, I have no ill will towards Art, I am just disappointed that if he would have just paid a little more attention, he probably could have avoided the disaster that ensued because he wouldn't have had players that were remotely involved. as they would have already been kicked off the team.

Glad he got another chance, but he wasn't going to stay at Baylor much longer IMO. Playing footsie with UT to the extent of screwing our Fiesta Bowl prep told me that loud and clear. Wish him well, but couldn't care less about ENMU.

Quite sure few , if any on this message board are interested in ENMU either, but that does not keep anyone who loves Baylor from being interested in Art's outcome. This does not diminish any Baylor fans desire to see Baylor be successful.

There are literally thousands of posts on this site saying the equivalent of "Baylor deserves to suck because of what we did to Art". You may not be one of them, but this site has plenty of posters who are more committed to #JusticeForArt than to Baylor's current program...and that's been the case going back to Rhule's first two mediocre seasons...

So that justifies your position ? I have been on this since it was Baylor Fans and I have seen some of what you reference but not thousands of posts, You can be pissed at Baylor for how they handled the Briles situation and still be a proud Baylor fan. It is not one or the other, just like being a fan of Art and Baylor at the same time.

This is a Baylor site. You trashy *******s need to go back to your circle jerking, self flaggelating, feeling sorry for yourselves holes. Good grief yall are pitiful. I truly feel sorry for you boys. Seriously! It is embarrassing that grown men are worshiping a man who held all of the keys to retirement as a Bear stud yet could not protect and honor the Baylor name, the Baylor Mission Statement and the Baylor students. He fired himself and effectivley set fire to the Baylor Football program as he was unable or unwilling to make simple adjustments that could have safeguarded Baylor from the "bad dudes" as Art called them himself.

Get yourselves a new pair of green kneepads, drive over to that 5200 seat stadium and drop down on those crusted knees. Take your worshiping out to the dusty wasteland known as New Mexico and say adios to Sic 'em. Please. Everybody will be better served.

As a former player we had names for you guys. Every D1 program has them. Players laughed at you guys and made fun of you. Even after some of you dropped some $$$ on us trying to get closer to "the program". Creepy!

Briles' players love him. Just ask Petty who was there with him. Ask Terrence Ganaway.

Then some idiot named Knuckles will come on here and say "ok, about the whole rape scandal thing ... well, Johnny Jefferson was a drug addict."

No need to remind anyone. You all know. It was 45 years ago to be more precise.

You remember.

The first Baylor team to win 10 games during an era when there were only 11 games.

A defense that gave up only 7 TDs in the entire conference games instead of 10 in one f'ing game!

A defense that held 4 teams to under 175 yards of total offense.

A defense that held TCU to 16 yards of rushing O.
A defense that held Texas Tech to -36 yards of rushing O. Yes, minus 36 yards.
A defense that held UT to 35 yards of rushing O. That was on 40 carries.
A defense that held A&M to 92 yards of rushing O.

As Donald likes to say.............."you haven't seen anything like it in the history of the world!

True Baylor fans give a ****. That team went 8-0 in conference play. Nobody tied us. We didn't have to pray for another team to win so we could be called conference champs.
