Am I right in seeing the stat column showing Alabama with 1 rushing yard entering the 4th quarter?

By the way those last few minutes played out, one would almost think Kirby Smart and the refs received the call from SEC headquarters to help out Bama just enough to keep them from getting completely embarrassed and booted from the CFP.

Smart has been way too conservative on offense in the 2nd half, and the refs have been throwing flags left and right to help Bama out.

Smart better start going for the jugular here instead of just trying to take it easy on a Bama squad that was ready to roll over 20 minutes ago.

Otherwise, they could find themselves in a very unnecessary dogfight.

Danny, much respect for your opinions. But I see this totally differently. I would take Texas Tech over Miami or Notre Dame any day of the week, and BYU to be competitive.

BYU's only two losses came to a currently top 4 team. Their best win is over #15 Utah.

If Bama loses by 3+ scores like 2-loss BYU did earlier, it makes it harder for the committee to actually put them in without losing all kinds of credibility.
