Before anyone contributes any funds - these organizations need to open their books so we understand the "expenses" that are being subtracted from the donations...

Here's an annoying question that I have to ask: how is our current team marketable for any business? Our team sucks, and half our players are in the portal. Our fanbase is already small as it is. We have a lame duck head coach. The list goes on. Baylor is not a blue blood that can play like crap and still have national brands reaching out to players to do six figure deals like DJ Lagway's Jordan Brand deal at Florida. You need to show that you have a coach that has instilled a winning culture in his program, and we don't have that

Imagine the NIL opportunities in 2013-15.

And how many of those great players would have been poached by schools that have vastly more resources than Baylor. 2013-2015 might not have been so much fun had the current landscape been in place.
Enjoy what we had, but don't have your head buried in the sand that it would have necessarily been the same in today's world. Would our BMDs be in the mix, yes, but there are many other schools that have many more BMDs with more money than us.

Well, we had numerous notable BMDs then, and we largely don't now, so I think we were probably in better shape then.

They may just be trying to establish market value for Texas to match.
Of course, if they get offers below what Texas initially offered to them they may wind up with a lower contract than what Texas already offered. That door swings both ways.
High profile guys may not have issues but if you are 4th on the depth chart and don't have any college game tape yet you might find yourself without a chair when the music stops.
I guess all schools even blue bloods will have to go through a roster shuffle every year to some extent.

You cannot tell me this is apart of the plan
this whole defense sucks ass and has no dawgs because Dave can neither identify talent nor develop players
OR
Thomas an All-Big 12 caliber dawg and it would suck to lose him
Which way, Baylor fan...

Hard to blame kids for chasing the bag, but the public loyalty speeches followed by immediate transfers are getting exhausting.
