Lagway really overestimated his value in the portal IMHO. He's been dragging his feet while his agent calls around and gauges whether any other program can match Dave's offer, but nobody else wants him that bad for a reason. A decent prospect, but he's not THAT good

Nah. However, before last years run to the national title game there were some questions about him including some really bad losses:

A 2024 loss to NIU out of the MAC at home, getting upset by Marshall in 2022, a loss to Cincinnati in 2021, and losing to a Stanford team that had 3 wins.

But my guess is that he is off to the NFL.

I think a lot of the negativity is just what boils over from Dave and the fact we are bringing him back for another year. Then that negativity/frustration just bleeds into any hint of a negative BU football situation.

Good pickup. Now if Sweet Dave can use some his salary to buy OL to protect the poor kid…

We play in the big 12. There aren't exactly more than one or two teams that have anything close to a defensive line that is going to give us fits. As long as we have a two deep starting rotation with serviceable dudes, he should be fine.

That's…..really wishful thinking. Because the big 12 isn't the Big Ten or SEC, pass blocking doesn't matter? Can't get behind that idea at all


Football generally comes down to being able to beat the player in front of you. The concept is universal no matter what conference you play in

Yep.

There are a lot of things to be critical about. But the heavy breathing over Lagway was always mostly unwarranted.
