I'm really tired of hearing people talk about what a nice guy he is. I really don't care if he's nice. There are plenty of nice people that will accept 4 or 5 million a year to be barely mediocre at their jobs. I have plenty of jerks that would act nice to make that kind of money

Cumbie agreed to the pay cut as part of a contract extension. He isn't just being nice. Tech is continuing to show that their athletic department is worse than BU'sno small feat. No coach is going to just take a pay cut.

Point being, Dave makes a lot more than Cumby and could easily afford to give a few hundred thousand of his fat paycheck to the players.


I don't think it's a realistic expectation, but it's funny to think about when I hear everybody talk about how "nice" the dude is.
