After having some time to reflect and think after my 24 hour vacation this weekend, it is with a heavy heart that the time has come for me to say goodbye. We certainly now have a kinder and gentler brand of football at Baylor and I guess the same thing can be said for the message board. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The only thing for sure in this life is that things are gonna change. I have certainly always been opinionated, sometimes crude, and a little rough around the edges. It was certainly never my intent to "attack", bruise egos, or hurt anyone's feelings. For anyone that I have over all these years, I sincerely apologize. This applies to friends and foes. I have known many of you for sixteen years since signing up on baylorfans way back in 2001. In my opinion, different viewpoints are always healthy and most everyone here always seemed to have the ability to "get mad and get over it."

I realize my anger and frustration over the killing of our football program has led to my undoing. I hope Matt Rhule can get us back to where we need to be, -I am pulling for him. More than anything, I hope our beloved Baylor University is able to somehow make changes necessary to once again bring honor and integrity back to our school. I want us to once again set the example and be everything that a Christian institution should be.

Lastly, I want to thank Brian, Colt, and Ashley for my time here. Special thanks to Jason Stewart! We have had us some good times!

Best of luck to each and every one of you. Life is short. Play hard. And don't forget each day is a precious gift. Take Care and SIC 'EM BEARS!

Good grief Jim, don't leave these boards.

Gotta have some dissent on here. Your dissent is generally good natured and appreciated.

You know, you could tell people "sorry" and walk away. Or you could show people "sorry" and stick around and just dial it back a little. We all go overboard -that's life. Especially when you're passionate.

That's why God invented Grace. It's not really reconciliation if you just say you're sorry and leave. Anyone can do that. You don't even need grace for that. The REAL challenge is to stick around and do the work. Try. Push. Grow. Use grace when you have to.

We all suck sometimes, dude. We're all Baylor Bears. We need to stick together.

Hope you stick around Jim. Not easy between what has gone on the field, off the field, and having BOR cheerleaders running around.

A board that runs you off but leaves the lip sync artist to ply his trade, well that just ain't right.

Come on RD2...No need to leave now. You've been around longer than prob 95% on these boards and know Baylor football better than most as a former player and long time fan.

No need to sign off. Let's win or lose together so we can still see a few AckAckAck's.

Attention *****s will ***** for attention.

People interested in leaving free message boards just do it. People who want to change their presence go on and on about how they are leaving.

I usually enjoy your stuff, but I , like most, really don't care if you leave or not.

So as you go, I leave you with a quote from curly bill, "Well, Bye."

Jim- hope you reconsider. I will admit that you are in the top 10 most flagged posters which is a pain in the butt to have to go through and read what others deem flag worthy but for the most part your posts made me laugh.

I don't hold some of your negative views on Rhule and Baylor leadership but fully support your right to express them on a message board.

I wasn't the one that banned you but I did think your post about Herman and Rhule french kissing and sticking each others tongue down their throats while funny to some would be considered offensive to others probably more so right after a loss.

When I got home from Waco at 1am, there were at least 100 flagged posts to sort through. It is a hassle that comes with the territory but sometimes we make knee jerk reactions based on the PIA factor. We are tired at the end of a long day and the last thing we want to do is babysit and settle cat fights (this is not directed at you Jim, it is more a general comment).

A one day ban is no big deal. Hope you change your mind and continue to post.

All we ask is that posters be civil to each other; be respectful of the work we are trying to do on this site and stay away from posts that are meant to inflame others.

Behind the scenes there are about 9 people reading for every 1 person posting. We hear complaints all the time about the tone and negativity of the message boards. At 0-7, some of that is expected. We don't want it to be unrealisticly positive but like it or not, these message boards are a reflection of Baylor University and we also don't want the tone to be 100% gloom, doom and despair either. So we feel like we need to step in and moderate at times to at least keep a civil tone. Recruits, players, families of recruits and players do read these boards and make judgments based on what they read.

I like 80s bear.

But I would probably ban him just to mess with him, so take it for what it's worth.
