Perhaps he's gotten the message that sending henchmen to coerce victims and their families out of pressing charges is wrong. I'm hopeful he will see the light.
This is the sort of shlt that is offense and should be banned. Not jokes about coaches.

You are chasing away good posters and keeping little dip****s that act like little lords prancing around in fancy pants and dreadlocks.

Calling rape victims liars

This is the part I don't get. For three consecutive years BU and the highest level Administrators reported ZERO, sexual assault claims. Zero. This was an Administrative decision and trust me, it went to the very top.

There were plenty of reports of assault, we have heard girls say how they were accused of partying, drinking other things and basically silenced. But, ZERO were reported.

To me this is calling rape victims liars and where the majority of the blame goes. The top. A culture of denying rape victims was created by the top decision makers. It finally came to roost and somehow most of the blame was diverted to the football team, when it was a University wide issue, not that there is more assault at Baylor than any other school, that is not the case, but that those who were assaulted were denied their due rights.

FB and I have always agreed on this point. Why the media wasn't hammering the regents on the basic mathe 10% is this _____ and is football. So 90% is this _________ and is outside football. Wow, Baylor what are you doing to address the 100% because firing Ian and Art just addresses the 10%. Firing Starr and enacting suggested system modifications in secret was the response. That was just blood in the water to media sharks. They wanted more clicks and more scalps.

One more time for the short bus riders

There's a lot of difference in not reporting sexual assault and sending coaches to cover it up.

That's my beef.

I've never absolved admins of any and all wrongdoing and I've put it on wax several times that I thought hiring Ken Starr was a colossal ****up.

Dispatching henchmen to go do dirty work is what Russian gangsters do, not football coaches.

I don't want this to be an excuse, only an explanation

The 90% looks just like most Universities. It is part of a Nation wide epidemic of not taking sexual assault seriously enough. Under-funding Title IX and Human Resources is not a very headline grabbing story. An insensitive Baylor Police Chief gets a giant yawn (shouldn't)

Now 10% committed by a pool of 1% of the student body, that happens to be a rising power in almighty football. .... that is a story that sells ...

Calling rape victims liars and telling anyone who will buy it that Baylor, who he and y'all claim he so DEARLY loves, is run by ******s, "limpwrists" or whatever other names, makes us all look like crap to the people who visit this site, and that should be banned.

Be loyal to Baylor University, and support this coach and team if you want to convince us that you're so loving of our school.

Otherwise, go start brilesdidnothingwrong.com and post that crapola there.
Believe it or not, you can believe Briles deserved to be fired AND know that our University is run by completely incompetent people. Believe it or not, you can support and love the school and it's players AND still be extremely skeptical in this coaching staff. None of these things are mutually exclusive. It's that type of all or nothing/ black and white thinking that creates the sort of divisiveness we see, not just on this board, but in this country.

I agree with you, but a whole lot of people sure didn't seem to have a problem with the BOR until they fired Briles.

I would guess that Milli Vanilli is responsible for a majority of those flags
No, he only flags Mothra.

I can't see how absolutely everyone isn't in agreement about this (though I'm sure there are those out there that aren't).
Notably the ones around here that think the percentage is zero or if the accuser did not press charges & win a conviction then it might as well be zero.

The derails are IMO the reasons that Jim's posting was taking a path not in alignment with the website. How many hundreds of times do you think Jim had post This is not an Institution of Football. This is a complex issue for most of us. Jim seemed to have simplified it.

The bottom-line is that we are not going to resolve all disagreements. But you don't have to paint yourself into a corner as a poster that if you don't agree to fire Rhule by 1 pm today, then you are loser supporting losing.

Hiring an independent third party to investigate and acting decisively nine months later after a report has been given is very rational.

Actually, hiring independent counsel to "audit" the program was just about the worst decision imaginable, especially with who they hired. The same people could have been let go, but done after an in-house investigation like every other school has done as of late. Instead, our dirty laundry was aired to the world, and given a spin by a media out for blood.

Get to banning, then.

I think the manner in which the whole scandal was handled demonstrated a level of incompetence that I know I didn't imagine. Regardless of whether one believes Briles was justly fired, we turned the gun on ourselves.
Some sure, but looking in rear view mirrors and criticizing is easy to do.

How would that look? Cant conduct an honest investigation on yourself, plus arguing with the media on the subject of SA looks 10 times worse.

Most of the briles thurthers on here were screaming for the dirty laundry to get some air. They wanted "the truth" remember?
How would that look? Ask Tennessee. They're a perfect example.

Not apples to apples.

Its one thing to have players accused of rape, another thing to cover them up using assistant coaches.

Outside counsel should've been engaged. But it should've been defense counsel with an expectation of privilege & privacy. Starr building it up like it would be a public document was a huge mistake.

Those of you saying rapes were covered up should check yourselves. You have no factual basis for that. Even the BOR gang rape club, cherry picking facts, couldn't get there. And the Baylor GC still had to re-cast things in the Briles' "exoneration" letter.

You're right, not apples to apples. At Tennessee, Butch Jones actually called the player that helped the victim a "traitor" for reporting his 2 teammates. Briles didn't do that.
