Forget the firing of Briles and just think about how poorly they have handled everything since then. Has any BOR done anything in the history of Baylor that has been as destructive to Baylor as this? Not in my lifetime at least. My point is, yes, some people only got upset when Briles was fired, but the reality is, if you take that away and just simply look at their mismanagement of everything since then, the damage done to Baylor University is unprecedented and THAT's why you see so many people have a problem with them now as opposed to before the firing. I have no problem with Jim. But do you realize that the first point in your post directly contradicts his position in a little dust-up with me a few days ago. He decided that I was a board fluffer because I feel the board had a perfect right to fire Briles. A good case.

My philosophy is pretty simple. This isn't exactly a free-for-all, but state your case and defend your position. If you think that you can't do that under the website rules, then take some time off. If you are getting a short vacation, then you haven't been listening and you should start. It is someone else's house respect that.

Well, I did. I have told Bearstruth posters and Baylorfans posters for years that someday the regents could kill something they cared about. Shame on those posters who ignored the regents consolidating the BAA , letterman's (B), and other groups to control message. This was a self-perpetuating group that grabbed control from the previous folks that made it a self-perpetuating board. The original regents thought the fight against fundamentals was over. They double-tapped the fundies and Sloan but ignored the mega-church, prosperous, super-righteous rising from the FOB ashes.

95% of Baylorfans never understood that what set up the settlements with accusers was Baylor's HUGE intake failure for complaints. The front end Title IX training of staff did them in. Instead large percentages settled into all the girls are liars camp, I don't have to listen if they didn't press charges and win a conviction camp, and I politically disagree with all of this because it leads to kangaroo courts. Train people to listen without judgement and report directly to the coordinator's office. It was the biggest thing the administration needed to do and they failed.

I could be wrong on this but it is my understanding that the cellphone timelines lined up with Tagive's initial deposition and the prosecution purposefully mislead him during trial stating that they did not line up.

It is my reason why I have a deaf ear to the regent complaints of many of the posters that Rd2 was running with lately.

During the BAA mess, I greatly disagreed with the posts of 84Bear. I couldn't believe that he was neutral. Studied the issue. Then sided with the BOR that the BAA had no right to exist. I went after his posts hard. That issue settled, we pretty much agree on most topics now. I star a lot of his posts. I agreed with Stranger during the BAA mess. I disagree with his position now. I put him on ignore probably more because of his age than our past agreement.

The timelines always lined up with his testimony. Nobody was grasping early and mid investigation that his records were appearing to not match up because the records where not on USA Central time zone.

This is the part I don't get. For three consecutive years BU and the highest level Administrators reported ZERO, sexual assault claims. Zero. This was an Administrative decision and trust me, it went to the very top.

There were plenty of reports of assault, we have heard girls say how they were accused of partying, drinking other things and basically silenced. But, ZERO were reported.

To me this is calling rape victims liars and where the majority of the blame goes. The top. A culture of denying rape victims was created by the top decision makers. It finally came to roost and somehow most of the blame was diverted to the football team, when it was a University wide issue, not that there is more assault at Baylor than any other school, that is not the case, but that those who were assaulted were denied their due rights.
