It's supposedly a late round pick, so they are basically dumping him off.
The first thing that comes to mind is how a poster in another thread basically argued that playbooks were too demanding for college players.
Well, there's that, and there's that Coleman hasn't been as good - at the NFL level - as the Brown's other top WRs going into 2018 (Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon). Some could argue that this may be injury related, but the Brown's wouldn't dump him for virtually nothing if they thought that he could eventually turn it around.robby44 said:Aberzombie1892 said:

Exactly. He went from the frying pan into... another frying pan.bularry said:
Buffalo qb situation ain't good. Bummer for Coleman.
I think his upside is greater in Buffalo, though they do need to settle on a QB. I think it's better than a lateral move for CC, but I do get your point.bubbadog said:Exactly. He went from the frying pan into... another frying pan.bularry said:

Lateral move.
At least they do have another quality WR in Kelvin Benjamin... might create more opportunities for Coleman.

Yet Terrence Williams and Josh Gordon did just fine.SigTauBear said:boognish_bear said:
There may be a little truth to that. Most of the Baylor receivers have been great athletes that beat their opponents with their ability and the system CAB created, i.e. Cannon, Godley, Coleman, Reese. Kendal Wright might be an exception, but Coleman is not the first to have this said about him.
This. A 7th round pick for him says more about him than it does the Browns.EvilTroyAndAbed said:Both things can be true. Cleveland can suck, and Coleman can be a bust as an NFL WR.Pecos 45 said:And what has Cleveland's record been the last few years?boognish_bear said:
I would argue that the Browns need to learn how to win in the NFL, and a WR isn't the problem.
Does it though? Given the Browns drafting prowess and player management since their return to the league, I put no stock in anything they do.Aberzombie1892 said:This.
