Briles is now officially the OC at FSU. Does anyone know if he got a spot for Clement's there?

We all know His contract at UH included a morality clause that stated KB could be fired for cause if he "participates in any act that may bring undue criticism or discredit to UH."

I would be surprised if Rhule and his crew of coaches dont have something similar... not because I think he will ever need it but because it should he a CYA thing in all coaching contracts going forward. It would be in there in every coaches contract if I was AD...

FWIW, every person that works for me has this same clause in their contracf. You make me or the company look bad, see ya!

From the article:

"But despite that not being officially connected to the scandal, Briles was convicted in the court of public opinion with many wondering how he couldn't have known about 52 alleged rapes by 31 football players with his father in charge of the program."

gawd, what lazy reporting... how could he have known about those fictional rapes until after the crazy attorney filed his toilet paper with the court? The investigation report was 17 SA and DV claims... sensationalist journalism sucks.

Kendal Briles hire at Florida Atlantic = big news.
Kendal Briles hire at Houston = somewhat news, a few articles from people like Jenny Dial Creech.
Kendal Briles hire at Florida State = barely news, a few twitter comments from people like Brenda Tracy.

17 reports by women alleging 19 players involved... even then they always leave out the fact some of those are domestic violence reports.

You're right, thought it was the other. Checked and it was worse on the player side.

Who are the 19 accused players? Off the top of my head this is all I can think of:

Tevin
Sam U
Sharmychal Chapman
Trayvon Armstead
Shawn Oakman (wasn't a BU player when is latest alleged incident occurred)
Devin Chaffin
There was an OL that transferred from UT that has DV allegations....can't remember his name

Sorry if I butchered some of those names. That's 7 players. Who were the other 12?

Who cares at FSU. Having another coach that is even remotely associated with a sexual assault scandal is a nothing at FSU....the capital of bad player behavior. Heck, Jimbo got a big new job and conract and no questions asked. Different rules for different schools.

It wasn't that long ago that recruits would go on visits to schools in Florida and an escort be waiting in the room for them.

That anyone is shocked these guys act entitled with women is hilarious.

it's also worth mentioning that the author of the Texas Monthly piece(Jessica Luther) that had the most to do with Briles public ridicule is a Florida State grad.

I'm sure she'll write a novel about her outrage. Oh wait, she already has...

i can certainly get you one, but having seen your bio, you don't strike me at the type that can read.

Also, it's not impressing anyone that you ask one of us to stand up to her for you, have your savior and hero respond for a change. The public perception is that he backed down.

And here's the deal. No one will reply with facts. No one.

They respond and convict with allegations.

Sure would like to get them under oath in court or a deposition.

And I'll probably be banned since I questioned an owner/moderator who allows posters who call great Baylor fans libelous names. Fine. Happy to be banned.

Those who love to quote the completely unchallenged numbers, unsupported by criminal complaints related to all of the alleged rapes, will simply let this thread die because there is no proof. If there was credible challenged proof I would want Art Briles and all others involved, in prison.

And the $10k bounty for evidence still goes unclaimed after 2+ years.

What is missing from all of this is the truth. Baylor did not want the truth when management lied about sexual assault. Zero was the report.

Know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Those in charge simply did not and do not want the truth.

If Art Briles is truly guilty of enabling or hiding sexual assault he should be incarcerated and NOT sitting on a large bank account funded by Baylor.

That is what was in the WSJ.

I'm not naming names, but the police reports are out there on 14 if you know how to run an FOIA.

Why were the 14 not charged? If the reports are public, please name names and tell me the status of the case.

Look, if Briles did everything he has been accused of, he should be incarcerated. Why did Baylor pay him $18mm?

Why not tell him to pound sand and let the truth come out?

Some are charged.

Why they paid him 18 million? Well, you believe Mac Engel on that one, so you do read newspapers or at least his articles where he combines the payout and his salary through May.

Cool. Without the law school Baylor would be Hardin Simmons.

I don't believe Engel at all.

Was Briles paid more than $1?

Why?

To buy his silence?

To achieve awesome nationwide PR?

You tell me.

Most did get some hits in the media. I counted 14 and have heard rumors of others. I don't remember seeing your seven.
