I know it's been said before, but it would be wonderful if we had a Rhule-type defense (or similar) and a Briles-Type offense. That would be amazing--and great fun to watch.
Literally speaking, there are trade offs to both tempos. You could balance it? Sure. But I don't think you get the absolute version of either.historian said:

Dude, nobody on the poor mans side gives a crap about who you know - how about you take your arrogant self back over to the pay side and leave us lowly deplorable to fend for ourselves - I'm sure we'll all survive without your "salient insights"
Exactly.
And if our board communicates the goings on of Baylor U to a guy drinking boxed wine at a tailgate as it's primary communication method, we're in for another scandal.
Oh GOOD you came back!!! Shocking. I won zero bets on that as you are SO predictable.
Let's recount the FACTS today: You are basing this ENTIRE squabble on your take that a NOZe Bother KNEW Aranda was the hire before he had a formal interview. That has been PROVEN in Mack's timeline. PROVEN.
Now to highlight your unbelievable stupidity.
1) I never predicted anything about Coach Aranda or CJM. I am However Super please with both hires/extensions. Really, truly this is the best case going forward.
2) You're an ignorant D'bag
3) I called YOU out for beating on others about CJM's situation without knowing anything about what he was going to do. You've been in the dark all day and running your mouth as usual. You KNEW nothing and lunged at everyone who disagreed with anything you said like a petulant child.
4) You're a complete D'bag
5) I NEVER claimed to have a prediction on any coaching positions early. I know people who were involved but NOTHING LEAKED. I NEVER claimed "the guard leaked things to me". YOU said that. Idiot. I have never claimed that "I knew more than you". But I DO KNOW Aranda was NOT offered the job on Monday NOZe face.
6 You are a deaf D'Bag
7) I also called you out completely for droning ON an ON about a NOZe brother KNOWING Aranda was the hire and calling out the pay board for who knows what. There were 100 different opinions over there and WGAF if there were. Noze made a great "guesstimate". Good for him, really. And what does that prove? NOTHING.....that Mack leaked it?? If you believe that you're dumber than I thought and that's saying something.
8) You're a SLOW D'bag.....
9) Just because I know people doesn't mean I'm posting that stuff here. That's how you lose friends. What new info did you provide? Any?? Oh that's right....none. As usual.
10) You're a scared D'bag
11) Did you contact the mods about my contacts? Nope, you didn't because you'd get egg all over your face. Again.
As you'd say......I'll (unblock) and wait and listen. Because you haven't and won't provide one new thing. Come on over and meet the gentlemen next Fall. They are great guys. They helped Baylor Infinitely in this search, and for that we should all be thankful.
Shame you will P U S S Y out again.....,because you KNOW you are wrong. And LOL at what my screen name means. But it's easy for yuh because you are WRONG AGAIN.
Please rebut in full sentences and answer above (which you never will)

Reported in numerous outlets. Unfortunately, this thread was hijacked by people who think it's about them.
Valid points. But I'm not thinking of a carbon copy, only more of the up tempo spread offense with lots of quick scoring. We saw some of that under Rhule too, but not as much and certainly it was not an emphasis. I would not mind replicating something like what LSU (& others) did in 2019.TellMeYouLoveMe said:Literally speaking, there are trade offs to both tempos. You could balance it? Sure. Also consider:
the 'no playbook' thing of Briles had downsides too, I get why he did it, but Qb's that get drafted into the NFL get a three-inch thick binder dropped on their laps on Day 1. For Baylor QB's that made for an enormous adjustment. Over time that would have been a limiting factor in getting some of the elite QB's.
I know what you mean, but everyone looks good with LSU talent. Hard to compare them.historian said:Valid points. Usually, once an organization knows your intent to leave, they take steps to minimize the impact.
Corporate American isn't nice, but it isn't wrong either. Go work for Ford and tell them you're leaving for Nissan.
They take your things, escort you to the door, and pay you the two weeks to stay at home. They can't risk sharing secrets and it's worse in other industries.
He's had an offer, if he doesn't want it, he needs to make a decision.
except he hasn't told them he's leaving for Nissan. rather, he turned down Nissan, came to Ford and fell in love with the place and culture (which he helped establish). not only that, his son joined him at the company as well. he publicly got denied a promotion which he may have been underqualified for and Nissan and Toyota, unsolicited, offered him a job bc they hope he can contribute to their company the same way he contributed Ford. meanwhile, some people who own a Ford Focus are telling him how he should go about making a decision.
It's interesting how narcissists think that by typing a lot of words, it somehow makes then smarter than everyone else.Wineguy89 said:TellMeYouLoveMe said:BUbackerinET said:

I don't know what this means and don't particularly care to find out. But I've owned two Focus hatchbacks and both were/have been great little cars. If that says something about me, so be it.
