The video presentation was excellent.

But the audio? Horrible. Not even very original. It was a pitiful attempt at poetry. I know third graders that write better than that sh*t.

What got Briles fired? According to the regents it was because he recruited thugs. Yet this POS promotes thuggery with gangsta rap.

Why not play some Baylor fight song music? That would fire up everybody to beat Iowa State. Not this talentless drivel.

My question is, who is the target audience for this promo? Certainly no fans that I know about. Is Baylor paying someone to do crap like this? Hey Mack, how about paying attention to what's going on in your own department?

The video was excellent the "music" was not. As rap goes this is actually OK but most rap is total crap. So that's that sang very much.

I am old too, and while I am not a big fan of any kind of rap music, let alone gangsta rap, I loved this one. Pretty cool, and I am so sorry you hate Briles like you do Stranger. Is there a reason for that hatred?

Briles was paid to win football games - period. Just like ever single other D-I P5 head football coach. Because winning football games results in millions and millions (and millions) of dollars to the school. That's what he did....and that's what resulted.

But when some public relations got tough...the BOR and administration flipped on him and walked him straight to the hangman's gallows to protect their own skin. This reality is long proven now.

The regents, and administration, during that time are the biggest disgraces Baylor University has ever had in its history.

Quite the opposite. I love Briles. It's the Board of Regents that deserve our hatred.

Whoa pardner! Not so fast.

College coaches are paid to do more than just win football games. Particularly true at Baylor University. Millions of $$$ dry up to a popcorn fart if you taint the Baylor brand.

Every single D1 coach knows you have to keep your fingers on the pulse of the team and especially your gang bangers. Hire yourself a Ray Donovan if you are going to introduce these guys into what amounts to a snow white, cotton candy, Polly Purebred Baylor student body.

Art fired himself by either not learning how to play the Baylor game or not even caring to play the Baylor game. Art cost Baylor millions upon millions of dollars and the blame rests squarely on Art's, on Ian's and on Ken's shoulders.

The regents and administration saved Baylor even more millions by seeing the implosion taking shape and pulling the trigger on May 26.

This reality is long proven here in the 1,946 days since it took place. 1,946 days of teeth gnashing, crying and wetting your diaper is embarrassing. Pull yourself together. We've been to the Sugar Bowl since that dark day.

Rev you of all folks should not have to be constantly reminded to face the TRUTH.

I've purposely cut my TRUTH posts back over the 1,946 days.

Keep trying Thee, it's just Dribble 2.0. Art did nothing wrong, except provide the BOR a scapegoat option.

No one else I know of counts the days since Briles was fired (or cares much). Amazing that someone would still be celebrating after all these years. Even the folks in Austin have long since moved on, figuratively & soon literally.

Oh I did not even have to try.

It's done. He had it made but just wasn't a hands on manager of HIS team.

He set the place on fire and scorched us but Grobe put out the fire, Rhule patched us and got us bowling in his 2nd year and in the Big 12 Championship game and Sugar Bowl in his 3rd year. Now Aranda is another steady hand with his fingers on the pulse of his team, his characters and he understands how to do things the Baylor Way.

1,947 days of dribble is correct!

It's NEVER been a celebration you idiot. I enjoyed the ride more than you because I am a former player with skin in the game. I still have limps, bumps and scars to remind me daily of how sweet it was to win a conference title.

No, I only count the days that nimrods still are pissing and moaning about the implosion 1,947 days ago when a weepy post appears here.

Biden would be wise to hire Thee as press secretary when Psaki wears out. He's got it down! (Sorry to go political).

How did a thread about a hype video turn into a Briles discussion? Can we have no nice things?

It started with the OP. And it was a good point. Read the thread.

Rev I'm Fox News or Breitbart. I'm always RIGHT.

1845 started his CNN / MSNBC / NPR rant yesterday evening at 6:52. My TRUTH patrol sniffed that revisionist history plant out in just a few minutes. Yall are always LEFT.

Raggedy Ann Psaki?

I read the thread and it seems like this went down hill because of the "gangsta rap" used in the video. I should note that this song is not "gangsta rap".

Anything that sounds slightly "urban" is gangsta rap to unknowing ears.

Anything that has rhymes and a beat in the background is gangsta rap to this crowd.

For not being a celebration, it certainly reads like one EVERY SINGLE TIME. And if you're not counting the days then why do you know the number? You insist on using that in EVERY SINGLE POST, so much so that it's become a joke.

You don't get it: no one cares anymore! Briles was THREE coaches ago. We have all moved on so why can't you?

It seems like the only person weeping is the one obsessed over a coach who hasn't been at Baylor for years.

If this song is problematic then we might as well just start singing hymns because this song was not at all provocative except for the time the rapper said "ballsy".

That's one reason I said it was ok. The other is that there was some actual music there as opposed to somebody yammering on with bad grammar & struggling to make a rhyme. That's how I see most rap that I have heard. It's garbage.

Clearly, this is a generational thing. So be it. At least one can agree on one thing: Sic 'em Bears!!

The entrance is great until the music stops and the band starts playing. It's a major letdown. Volume is much lower and can never match the intensity of Sandman blasting over the speakers. Some traditions just need to die as they are obsolete.

I'm here to sweep up those like 1845 who started this one and give him a gentle, loving squeeze and prod him to come on home.

1. All those sleepless nights staying up to catch the Guelfi Firenze in the Federazione Italiana di American Football games is no way for a Bear Cub to act.

2. Catching the yellow dog express to Mt. Vernon wearing a purple Tiger t-shirt that doubled as the dip stick rag at the Love's Travel Stop off Holbrook Street is not what Baylor prepared you for.

Google provides me the number. I find it entertaining that some still, 1,947 days later, cry out to God cursing the BOR.

I reluctantly moved on about 1,946 days ago. I was in the stands supporting my Bears in 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019. I did miss last year.

I'll give all of you boys still sniveling a good old big Bear Hug or better yet, a couple of Big Os.

Sic 'em!
