To be fair, it's been 16 years since Drew's first NCAA bid with Baylor. I think the lowest win total since then has been 19.

I was more referencing the tournament success BU has experienced.

I have been waking around the house signing "it's the most wonderful time of the year" for the last couple of days. Wife and daughter are ready to kill me. It's hard to beat the first two weekends of the tourney.

Coach Drew & some coaches made it to Texas HS basketball championship game last night. Got to see Tre Johnson for Richardson Lake Highlands win over Beaumont. Tre Johnson was awesome. Hope he comes to Baylor.

His dad payed for Baylor. I am sure Ashley has the latest on how we are looking to get him. Would be AWESOME get, would keep us relevant for NC next year.

Ok, too many Selection threads out there. If you'll humor me, I'm declaring this one the "official" thread. Hopefully it can all get consolidated here.

We can take the big boy out of the game with our guards and speed, assuming we win and then play Creighton. He doesn't move well at all. That's how the Big East teams would take him out of his game and Creighton would then struggle. UCSB is basically guard heavy like us and largely only plays 7 guys, 5 of which are guard size and are traditional 1's and 2's.

I don't mind our draw at all. Hope that comment doesn't come back to haunt me!

So Scott Drew has shown he can lead a team to beat Mark Few and Gonzaga. Now Bryce gets his shot.

Baylor and TCU both playing in Denver, CO should be interesting

KU gets a fairly decent draw. Don't agree w Jay Wright that Arky could give them problems.

TCU (or as Clark Kellogg just called them, the "Texas Froghorns") and Gonzaga also in Denver.

If Iona upsets UConn, it sets up a 2nd round matchup of the Gaels vs. the Gaels.

Just for the record, UCSB does have a pretty good big, and I do mean big. He's like 6'9, 250-260. He's a grad transfer from Cal, where he started for a couple of years. He's hard to move out of the low post given his size and he's a decent rebounder. Averages about 10 points a game. His size tends to draw fouls on opposing bigs so Flo and Jon will potentially have to be careful of getting into foul trouble.

UCSB has several other tall, rangy kids on the roster around the 6-8, 6-10 mark but none of them did very much in the few games I saw UCSB play.

TT has Yosemite Sam, TCU can work a deal with Froghorn Leghorn.

The Arkansas-Illinois 8-9 game should be a good game, if Nick Smith is healthy. Don't see either one of them doing well against Kansas. Not sure what they were talking about on CBS.

I don't see Kentucky going too far, but if they and Purdue met in the Elite 8 for a spot in the Final 4 it would be a helluva battle watching Tschiebwe battling Edey in the East Region,

Paul Mills gets ORU to the Sweet 16 again by whatever manner and I can see him in Stillwater either next year or year after (if Ok St misses again).

How crazy is it that UNC was the preseason #1 by many, returned pretty much everyone other than Brady Manek from a Final Four team, and then completely WHIFF on the tournament.

Lot of the blue blood teams that tend to make the final four even when not all that good are all packed in the East (Duke, UK, MichSt).

I forgot they lost to Alabama in quadruple OT in November..win that game and they're in.
