254, you really need to stop calling people fanboy.
Is there anything more fanboy than wanting your team to lose in the conference finals because you fear what losing in the finals might do to your favorite player's legacy? That is the most fragile, beta, mentality I've ever heard of in my life.
I can call whoever I want fanboys. Roughneck has been doing it for the longest, and he's the biggest fanboy. I call it how I see it. To be quite honest, I think you're one as well.
However, me wanting Lebron to not go 3-6 in the Finals has nothing to do with anything. That's just me saying I'd rather see Lebron on a team that will be more competitive to go against the likes of GS or Houston in the Finals.
Im not going to sugarcoat anything and say "Lebron and the Cavs will beat GS or Houston in the Finals". I know they won't.
So you can take that fragile, beta mentality comment and use it on someone else.
LOL you are so soft. I literally can't ever recall encountering a sports fan wanting his team to lose just because he thinks his team is going to lose in the next round. That is just embarrassing.
I'm not soft at all, if I were soft i would've never entered this thread and kept the conversation going for pages.
Embarrassing and soft because I know what the outcome would be in the next round? It's not rocket science Crash. I know you're smarter than this.
That's like saying "All Baylor fans are soft and embarrassing because we knew we would lose to Alabama in Football beforehand"
That is a weak analogy. It's more like Baylor fans wanted to lose in the Big XII championship game because they didn't want to play Alabama in the national championship. Weak AF. Even if I think my team is probably going to lose, or almost certainly going to lose for that matter, I'd still rather advance as far as possible and give it our best shot.
Answer this question for me. Did you root for Baylor basketball to lose to Xavier in the Sweet Sixteen in 2012? I mean, Baylor had basically no chance to beat Kentucky in the Elite Eight.
That is definitely not a weak analogy lol. It's the SAME thing. Either way it goes, one team is competing against the other.
Id be proud of Cleveland for advancing, without a doubt. I'm just a realist, and I call it how i see it. That team CANNOT compete with GS or Houston. It's common sense at this point.
Baylor had a really good team in 2012. I knew they would beat Xavier, but I also knew we'd likely run into problems with Kentucky and Anthony Davis, although we were definitely playing well.
Back to the Cleveland situation. I'd be more confident in this team if Lebron didn't have to have a hero performance literally every game to win. His supporting cast just has not showed up consistently enough to boost my confidence in the Finals.
