So basically Iowa State hits from half court, behind their head, over the backboard, from the 3rd row in the stands and everywhere between, when they play us. And they can't hit the broad side of a barn against anyone else. Is that what's going on against Pitt?

Admittedly all I know about Creighton is what I just saw in this game, but it appears to me if Flo and EJ can at least limit Kalkbrenner for most of the game and our shooting is at least average (by our standards) it should be our game to lose. Having said that, it's still March madness and we're still talking about us, so who knows?
I want to channel 2014 when we were the #6 and they were the #3 and we shot lights out while they couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. Here's to hoping that's what happens again Sunday!

I remember that game. I was driving back from out of town and had to listen to it on SXM. Brad Sham was doing the radio play by play and I recall him referring to Rico as "Mount Gathers" because of what a rebounding beast he was for us during the game.
Was that the same season we put up something like 13 in the first half of our Sweet 16 game against Wisconsin and went on to lose big?
Kalkbrenner is more skilled than athletic/explosive. I'm hoping this will be a matchup where Flo is useful. It's hard to predict, though.DanaDane said:

They'll have trouble keeping this up, but FDU is off to a great start against Purdue. They're frustrating the Boilermakers on both ends right now.

This Fairleigh Dickinson team is giving me St. Peter's vibes.
Like St. Peter's last year against Kentucky, FDU has the two best guards on the floor.
Roberts and Singleton are quicker than a hiccup. They're consistently beating their man and either getting to the rim or forcing help for a backdoor cut. As long as their offense is lane-focused, they're going to stay in this game because they're getting high-percentage shots.
