Jordan Turner Enters the Transfer Portal
WACO, Texas – After four years at Baylor, redshirt-Junior wing Jordan Turner has entered the transfer portal according to @big12capital’s Instagram story. Turner shared the story on his own account as well.
The 6-foot-8 Sunrise Christian Academy prospect played in 32 games for the Bears, averaging 4.5 minutes per game. Last summer in the GLOBL JAM tournament, Turner was the fourth-leading scorer for the green and gold with 8.4 points per game.
Coming out of high school, Turner was the No. 24 small forward recruit in the nation, and the No. 11 player in the state of Texas.
Turner could not crack the rotation in Waco with NBA draft picks Jeremy Sochan and Kendall Brown earning minutes ahead of him in 2021-22 and Jalen Bridges locking down the power forward spot this past season. Through Turner’s time at Baylor, Scott Drew has favored three-guard lineups, using wingers almost solely at the four.
His redshirt-Freshman year, Turner saw late-game minutes in the Final Four and National Championship games with the Bears in complete control.
Turner leaves Baylor with two Big 12 Championships and a National Championship.
