FAU leads K State 42-38 at the half.

Haven't really watched FAU all year. Not sure if this game is a one game anomaly, but they seem to move the ball really well and are great at cutting on the offensive end.

The tall Russian kid is a much bigger force than I thought he would be. Hope we finally bring in someone in the middle like that who can at least be a scoring threat underneath.

This is why I love college basketball. FAU (or any mid-major) would never have the ability to create a deep enough roster in football to give Bama, Georgia or other Top 10 programs a run for their money on a consistent basis. But in basketball, you CAN create a roster that compete against the best of the best.

This FAU team was ridiculously underseeded.

The committee didn't have nearly enough respect for the CUSA in general.

FAU should have been about a 4 seed, and both UNT and UAB should have been in the NCAA tournament field.

I've watched every one of their tournament games. They hit my radar toward the end of the regular season when I was trying to see what UNT would need to do to get into the tournament.

My in-laws live in Denton and go to a bunch of UNT games, and I peripherally root for McCasland.

This is another great game. You can not beat the NCAA tournament. Best event in sports.

By the time it gets to the Elite 8, they pretty much allow it to be pretty physical basketball. I'm don't think our team this year had the ability to play this physical.

I wish they'd stop these ticky tack fouls and officiate the actual fouls. This officiating is tough to watch on such a high quality game.

I get that Massoud is much taller at 6-9 and is shooting 41% from 3, but that's in about 1/3rd of the attempts of Nowell. And FAU was prepared as they already had 2 guys hanging on Massoud.

What a bitter way to end it for the Tangers. Don't even get a shot off.

Watching the replay it's evident Massoud could have gotten a catch and shoot off, or could have caught the pass in the air and immediately flipped back to Nowell. But he made the big man mistake of trying to dribble and the quick hands of FAU's defenders just knocked it away.

Oh well. What a great season, Tang. A first season to definitely remember.
