SDSt to the line with 1.2 left. Hope he does better than the Utah chick.

PS: that was a much more clear foul than the one on Jessika Stratton vs. Tennessee in 2004, and much less of a foul than the one not called at the end of the 2021 Elite 8 game v UConn.

Wait WHAT? I thought they were headed to OT??????

While they are looking to see who touched the ball last, nobody noticed that Baylor Headband stepped over the end line on his throw.

Clearly .2 left. What a disaster.

Ooh…there are some mad cornfield jesuits in there.

At least we won't have an all Big East final.
DanaDane

Well, at least we don't have to hear about 2 Big East teams in the Final 4 media conversation for the next 7 months.

Clock didn't start immediately on the first touch. Wiped out the remaining 0.2

Yep saw that immediately. I think he actually was short of the line which marked the out of bounds. Needed a closer angle to confirm but initially thought he stepped in bounds

Yes. 0.2

They should have made SDSU inbound it
Fre3dombear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Didn't much matter but the fact they didn't inbound it just added to controversy

We sucked but creighton played out of their mind to beat us including 22-22 from the line. Absurd

Agree It didn't but how can the refs quantitate how much clock should have run immediately after the tip? It's a guessing game and they shouldn't do that.

I thought you can't take a shot by NCAA rules on an inbounds pass with 0.3 seconds or less. It's restricted to a tip in. Maybe I'm thinking of NBA though.

I didn't see the other sdsu games but Creighton missed all sorts of shots they made against us.

Oh yeah. No question. I wasn't trying to refute your point. I was just curious about the 3 point percentage in the tournament, so I looked it up.

Officials went to old fashioned stopwatch to compare time from first touch to ball landing out of bounds

Yes good explanation by the guy on the panel after the game.

We were really spoiled in '21. No nail biting last second win/lose moments in our venture to the title.

Us in 21 and Nova in 18. Only because we gave up a last second bucket to Arkansas did we not join them in winning every tournament game by double digits.

Best reply to that tweet: Somewhere in Omaha is a Chiefs fan who is mad that the game was decided by a late foul call.

The dude fouled him. When you get beat, you've got to let the guy go and let the chips fall where they fall.

You can't put your hand on a guy's hip while he's in the act of shooting. Forcible contact or not, that's a foul.

Couldn't help but notice every Creighton 3 attempt was closely challenged by SDSt defender where as they shot wide open 3's against us.

Switching gears: has UT and Miami met in any sport other than baseball since the 46-3 beat down in the 1990 Cotton Bowl?

That call gets called 0/100 times in an Uber physical game. It was a foul. Wasn't called all game long. Never is that called in a clutch moment to let free throws decide it

Historically bad call. Both coaches would agree. Villanova coach agreed.

Rules official wants to justify call because of displacement. SDSU posts continually displaced defenders to make shots. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Miami looks in control at one point, then whorn does. Very evenly matched teams. No length but good shooting guards. Pretty decent defenses.
