Curious on how this will look?

Play every one once ..then play select teams twice.. Rivalry teams get played twice .such as KU vs KSU.. Baylor vs TCU..OK vs OSU...

I posted this on another thread...genuinely curious. My guess:

20 games

13 opponents

Play 7 teams twice (14 games)
Play 6 teams once (6 games)

Maybe there's a value in doing two divisions for hoops. Both have 7 teams. You play everyone in your division twice along with one team in the other division...for all others, just play once.

Or...under that same scenario play 19 conference games (play each division team twice and each non division team once). Maybe we incorporate a mid-conference challenge like we had with SEC. No idea which league we'd even flirt with now. ACC?

Who the hell knows what it will look like in the seasons that will follow...no idea how big the league will be by then!

It's what I posted above..sorry I wasn't clear..that wasn't a prediction but something that was reported last year.

Sources: The Big 12 will play the following league games twice when the conference goes to 14 teams in 23-24 & 24-25 (prior to Oklahoma & Texas joining the SEC).

So only 14 instead of 18 conference games?

No, those teams listed with have a home/away series, everyone else is a single game. 18 total games.

I play one of the 13 teams 2x = 2 games
12 of the teams 1x = 12 games
That's 14 games, right?

That's not how it's going to work. You'll rotate through the teams you play twice. So, in one season, we might play KU twice. The next year, we probably only play them once, but we'll play KSU twice. The only exception is TCU, whom we'll play twice every year, regardless of other matchups.

There will be other teams we play twice besides TCU to add up to 18 games.

Do we know that 18 will be the number of conference games we play?

Of course anything is subject to change .but yes 18 games.
