VCU Transfer Guard Jayden Nunn Commits to Baylor Basketball
WACO, Texas – Former Virginia Commonwealth guard Jayden Nunn has committed to Scott Drew and Baylor Men’s Basketball from the transfer portal per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
The 6-foot-4, former Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team selection joins the Bears after two years at VCU where he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 28.5 minutes per game last season as a Sophomore. KenPom lists his usage rate at 16.7% for last year along with a 51.4% effective FG percentage, a 55% true shooting percentage, and a 40% three-point percentage.
Nunn was a three-star prospect rated 89 by 247Sports, good for No. 146 nationally, the No. 21 point guard and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Michigan. He left his home of Flint, Michigan to finish high school at Dream City Christian School in Arizona.
Nunn joins a roster that still has Dantwan Grimes, Langston Love, Josh Ojianwuna, Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua and Caleb Lohner locked in at this moment.
Adam Flagler is in the NBA Draft process and Jalen Bridges is expected to do the same. Whether they return to Baylor is the next question.
Nunn is a great addition to the Baylor program and will look to continue the pedigree of great guards in Waco alongside incoming freshmen Miro Little and Ja’Kobe Walter.
Yves Missi, currently a 2024 commitment at the center position could also reclassify to the 2023 class as well to join the freshman and Nunn as new Bears next season.
