I pick my seats Monday and was curious where other people had selected.

yea bear foundation has a self inflicted nightmare on their hands right now. Pricing sections on 200 level at $750/$400 donation caused a lot of higher donors to buy $400/$600 seats thus eliminating all lower priced inventory before any of the $400 donors could pick.texillian said:
My bad luck - $400/$75s in the 200-sections ran out as soon as it was my turn to pick at 1PM. Dang
Try giving the BBF a call and see what they can do.texillian said:

im just gonna assume they do nothing. honestly if they discount tickets, they are gonna create an even bigger **** storm from people who donated more than those picking today due to those who donate less than them getting potentially better seats for less money/less donation. that is gonna piss off as many as it would help imo.Big12Bear said:Try giving the BBF a call and see what they can do.texillian said:

I agree with the solution. However, in that business, the box office manager has been instructed to hold back a certain number of seats (not too many) for all kinds of scenarios, including something like this.T-REX said:im just gonna assume they do nothing. honestly if they discount tickets, they are gonna create an even bigger **** storm from people who donated more than those picking today due to those who donate less than them getting potentially better seats for less money/less donation. that is gonna piss off as many as it would help imo.Big12Bear said:Try giving the BBF a call and see what they can do.texillian said:

the real solution was to not price the 200 level middle 3 sections the exact same ticket cost as the 100 level middle 3. yes the bbf level was less but that was not likely the concern for many who could have taken those seats but choose cheaper ticket costs. Had we not priced those so high, its likely the 400/600 seats were all taken before today thus we wouldnt have this issue.
or none of this matters and by the end of the day people decide to just pony the hell up i guess.
I took your advice and called back into the BBF. They pretty much told me (nicely) that I was out of luck.Big12Bear said:I agree with the solution. Hopefully, they're able to help, even if it takes ten tries trying to get through on the phone.
what seats did you get then?texillian said:I took your advise and called back into the BBF. They pretty much told me (nicely) that I was out of luck.Big12Bear said:I agree with the solution. I called the ticket office and they were able to get me some seats. Very thankful.
We really didn't have the additional $500 a seat to make the $750/400's work for us.
Yeah, that's a big jump. Glad it worked out!texillian said:I took your advice and called back into the BBF. what did those end up costing per seat? they were $600/$150 when i picked my seats monday and choose 205 row 5 for $400/75 eachBig12Bear said:Yep, those were not available early this morning.T-REX said:they must have opened those up cuz those were gone earlier today. interesting.texillian said:

yep as of like 10 or 15 mins ago. lower prices than what those sections were originally priced. and as of late last night, they also discounted remaining sets in a few corner sections down from $600 to $400 but kept the bbf donation required the same.MattyIce said:
Wait, there are new seats available today that werent available yesterday?
If I remember correctly, you have it right. 206 was in the next tier above 205 ($600 vs $400), although the last few of rows in 206 may have been at the 400/75 pricepoint.T-REX said:what did those end up costing per seat? they were $600/$150 when i picked my seats monday and choose 205 row 5 for $400/75 eachBig12Bear said:Yep, those were not available early this morning.T-REX said:they must have opened those up cuz those were gone earlier today. interesting.texillian said:

oh no, the entire section was always the same price. and they opened a bunch of seats in the last couple rows of a few corner sections like 25-30 mins ago at a lower price than those sections were originally and those seats werent even available to pick before this afternoon. not sure if they were blocked for some other reason or what. they are mostly all gone nowBig12Bear said:If I remember correctly, you have it right.

Lots of cat and mouse - the ugly truth of the ticketing world.

Yeah, they changed the $600/150 to $400/$150 in a number of the corner sections. However, there was an issue when you'd click the seats to your cart ringing up at the original price of $600. But the paid rate was still $400 each when it was said and done.T-REX said:oh no, the entire section was always the same price. and they opened a bunch of seats in the last couple rows of a few corner sections like 25-30 mins ago at a lower price than those sections were originally and those seats werent even available to pick before this afternoon. not sure if they were blocked for some other reason or what. they are mostly all gone nowBig12Bear said:If I remember correctly, you have it right.
