The beat LSU at LSU and before tonight their biggest loss was 13 at Mississippi St. They are not awful.
They're KenPom #269 out of 362 teams with the #254 Offense and #264 Defense.

They are the very defintiion of AWFUL.

But I still love you CT.

You will get to see awful on Dec 22, final game at Ferrell. Mississippi Valley State is dead last in Kenpom, #362.

The good news is we'll get to see Michigan St, Duke and a halfway decent Seton Hall team before then!

Can't wait to see all three get baffled at how good this group is offensively.

I have actually watched a bit of The Hall this year and they have a few gifted players, including one 4* Frosh who turned down some bigger offers to go there.

Regarding Duke and MSU --- one crazy stat that's ongoing is that BU is 15-1 in their last 16 regular season neutral site games. The only loss in a number of years that I know of was against UVA last year where the refs blew the whistle against us on every UVA possession in the second half.

Of course, we all know MSU won't be "neutral," at the Red Wings Arena, but will be counted as such.

I don't suspect we'll get a friendly whistle in Madison Square Garden against Duke or against Michigan St in Red Wings Arena. But I have no doubt Drew and staff will have us prepared. Win or lose, what I'm most curious about is whether he tightens the rotation or he continues to go 10-11 deep. It will give us a good preview of what he's contemplating for conference play.

Watched the replay. Fun game to watch! Wild how many above average players we have

I really like the MSU game in the sense that it will be an almost true road game to prepare us well for conference play. I'm sure MSU will have plenty of students at the game over holiday break.

Last year, Marquette ambushed us and went full throttle and I don't think we ever recovered in other difficult road environs after that.

And hey, Duke at MSG. You don't need to say anything more. I expect a fun dogfight. Wish Acy had another year of eligibility just for that game alone.

I think we are already pretty much down to a 8 man rotation. Right now the primary rotation appears to be:

G RayJ
G Nunn
G Walter
G Love
F Bridges
F Lohner
C Missi
C Josh O
--
Ray J, Nunn, Walter, and Love are rotating at the 3 guard spots and will split the 120 available minutes between the 4 of them. Little is the next man up but I think will not get consistent rotation minutes unless one of those 4 guys gets injured (knocks on wood). The problem with bringing both Little and Love off the bench is they are both below-average defenders. Since Love is our primary 6th man I think that makes it hard for Little to get consistent run. Grimes appears to be out of the rotation (2 minutes vs. Florida and didn't come in until garbage time vs. Nicholls). Lohner is the primary backup to Bridges so will only get 10-12 minutes max. Doesn't look like we will be playing 4 guard lineups so Lohner's role is secure. I love how Lohner is apparently hitting and making threes so the offense will have the same continuity with either Bridges or Lohner in the game at the stretch 4. Missi and Josh O splitting the 5 I think EJ only plays around 5 minutes or more if one of those guys gets into foul trouble.

I noticed that about Grimes. And when he came in he looked great. Is it his defense against better teams? Wonder what makes him the odd man out.

CT, for the entire time I"ve been on this Forum you have every team we beat being the next champion of their conference and every team we lose to being the next National Champion in every sport. You have and always will suffer from Baylor Fan Inflatitis, the mysterious malady that for some strange reason thinks it makes Baylor seem better if you overexaggerate the quality of the team we're playing. Guess what? We can be exceptionally good, and at the same time an opponent can be bad. Both can be true at the same time.

And no, I don't give a chit if you were there. You and your 74 year old eyes don't know more than statistically validated proven measurements that actually don't have an emotional attachment to a team

But I still love you CT. You're a good fan..
CTbruin

And I respectfully disagree. I believe my eyes. Not some stats by someone that has not seen the game.

You don't beat LSU and play Miss St that close if you are "awful"

And I did not say they would win any conference or the National Championship. I just said they weren't awful.

Did you answer my question? Were you there?

Why is your defense always "were you there" ?also pay close attention to LSU this year…. They're going to finish wellllllllllll under .500.

I ask if you were there simply because you can't see the entire game from your TV. The camera focuses on the ball, not the entire court.

LSU is the 13th best team out of 14 teams in the SEC and Mississippi St was up 72-47 with 4:42 to go in the game when they emptied the bench and put in 2 walkons and 3 end of bench guys that let Nicholls go on a 14-2 meaningless run at the end of the game in a game that was never close.

But keep relying on emotions instead of facts.

Love the guy but holy crap…. I think ken Pom among others know what they're doing. And you can bet when we lose a game whenever that be. That team will be the title front runner

There's no name calling in that statement. And you're not anyone's dad in here so you can stop telling people what to do or think.

This is the Love I was seeing pre injury. One of the best scorers in the conference. Compact stroke and can get a guy on his hip while he powers to the lane. Great to see if after so many injuries.

This is why the pre season commentary's are nonsense at times. None of these projections were giving any credit for Love and while understandable was obviously wrong. Great scorer

Ok, 74 year old guys are not to be insulted purely because they are 74. Why do I say that? Because I'm 74! Ok, laugh out loud (or as you youngsters write, LOL).

CT is not only one of the absolutely best Baylor fans, and has suffered through 55 years (or more) of following Baylor with his presence and his money, he was a pretty darned good basketball player in his youth....and could fill it up pretty good in his days in Midland. How do I know? I was there, and he constantly reminded this old coot to square up and follow through on my shots...which I consistently failed to do.

If Baylor had more fans like CT, we would sell out every game in not just football, but also basketball and baseball. CT was also a pretty good softball player....just not as good as me.

Being there means living in Waco and he's always there. There is something to be said for that.

And, despite being a KOT in his younger years, I forgive him for that indescretiion. KOT never could beat APO in intramurals, right CT?
