Of course, on the other hand, the lesson should be if they're not gonna call them, start doing the same thing yourself on the defensive end.
Agreed, and frankly that's part of what is going on today. If we had been sinking 3's from outside the Spartans would have had to adjust to that and we could drive better, but with poor outside shooting and refs from the Soprano family, we saw a bad situation get worse.

This is a completely and utterly unprepared team, with every flaw getting exposed easily by a physical Michigan State team.

Drew is usually good with halftime adjustments. Let's see if we can at least make the final score respectable.
There's not a hall of fame coach that has ever coached that hasn't had a game like this, where their team could do no right and the other could do no wrong. It sucks, but it happens. Learn from it and move on.

How often if this is normal does a 4-5 team blow out a top tier team by 30 at half. Sorry these don't happen. Upsets heck yes. But, by 30ish just doesn't.

We will be ok down the line. But, this is crazy.

Just caught up. Wow Drew and staff are really struggling with defensive coaching. Seems to be a very legitimate trend now.

The offense should improve in the second half. But the softness is very concerning. Buzz saw and no matching of intensity. Need to bring this within 12 or so by end to have any hope of salvaging this game .

Missing a 6-7 / 6-8 grinding forward. Missing healthy Jon right now

Yep. As you and I agreed earlier in the season, just totally soft in the middle and inexperienced on D. Gonna struggle with physical teams particularly when the refs allow it to be a physical styled game. I expect the O to respond somewhat in the 2nd half.

Not often. But every team has Murphy's Law games. The runs don't usually last as long as ours did in the first half, but they happen.

If someone was judging on one game (and thankfully they don't), Walker looks head and shoulders better than RayJ and JaKobe looks lost right now with the physical pressure D from MSU. It will be a great learning experience for both hopefully.

Was just going back to examine the Marquette boxscore from last year. Didn't realize what we were ranked going into that game. Anyone say 6th? Yes, you are correct.

We fell to 12th after that 26 point loss.
