I think so. 16-3-2 and 14-5-2 in last 2 games at home. Seems like his confidence is sky high right now. It's like he's out to prove something and I like it.

The one thing that was always a possibility with this team was the opportunity to really improve as they gained experience playing with each other. I hope we are seeing that. Big test Saturday.

Hell yeah post on!
Nunn is good I think it's just a hard situation to adjust to this big 12 conference

Agree. If he can stay on this pace it will be huge for us. It'll be great to have someone besides Rayj that can break down a defense off the dribble.

I'm glad to see Nunn be recognized. I've been as hard on him as anyone this year, but he's been excellent the last few games. We're a different team when he plays at the level he has the last few times out. Here's hoping it continues.

Edit: I hate the stupid emojis on the mobile version of this site. I literally never use them intentionally and they end up on half my posts.

Until the last couple of games Nunn had been a huge disappointment and he still clearly needs to improve his FT shooting, but it is great to see him have a couple of positively impactful games in a row. I'm hoping he's doing a 180 similar to Bridges last season and is going to be a real asset for the rest of the season.

I think many, myself included, had completely unrealistic expectations for Nunn. His numbers at Baylor are almost identical to those he posted at VCU. He was always more likely to be a role player than an impact one. Fortunately, he's showing some signs lately of potentially crossing that threshold.

The main issue with Nunn has been free throws and layups, but he seems to be improving the last couple of games. Just don't see how any guard at this level can shoot free throws as poorly as he has.

I was so down and Nunn and Dennis at the beginning of conference play but they are two of my favorite players on this squad now. Dennis is turning into a great leader

Nunn's confidence is what I love. Pair him with Dennis who's been our Alpha and Langston (fingers crossed on injury) and we have the guards to make a real run.

We're a different team when all three of these guys get to the rim and we're not subject to a cold shooting night!

FWIW...I've learned that before I hit "post" I will always go back and click on the first emoji in the upper right hand corner to make sure that doesn't happen.

Agree. Nunn was borderline unplayable recently but has been great this last week. Different team and really tough to handle when he plays like this. His D has been okay too.

My apologies to Nunn. I had been frequently using the "B" word (bust) in reference to him, but he is proving me wrong. In these situations I love to be wrong.

His poor free throw shooting needs to improve, but it doesn't bother me that much. What I love about him the past few games is he aggressively seeks contact and forces other teams to foul him. Even if he doesn't make the free throws, that's a huge advantage for us. Puts other teams in foul trouble, puts us in the bonus and gives us a high volume of attempts, and every time we get to the line that's like a free time out for us to set up our defense. Walter and Love both have the same ability to penetrate and draw contact, but shoot a much higher ft%. With Walter struggling so much with his perimeter shot, I had hoped he would take a page from Nunn's book and attack the paint more.

The Nunn apology tour has officially started!

Love that he's been the aggressor lately. When we go through the long lulls on offense, it's because our guards are passive and don't drive. I think that's why I was so worried about the Love injury because I hadn't consistently seen our guards drive to the basket when the 3s aren't falling. Proud of him for stepping up.

He's been awesome lately. And like I said earlier in this thread, we're a completely different team when Nunn plays at this level.

Like you, I just love seeing him assert himself. Early in conference play, he had a tendency to shrink in crunch time. Now he seems to crave those moments. His development has been huge for this team, especially with Walter struggling and Love missing time due to his injury.

Nice to see. Did not like his play most of the year, but got to give him props!! Great play

Nunn is a poor defender and Davion was elite. But offensively, yes.

Nunn has that same quick first step / burst off the dribble, which reminds me of Davion. We would iso Davion so he could take his defender off the bounce and we are doing that more and more with Nunn. Free throw improvement would be a bonus given how Nunn seeks and draws contact. If Nunn stays hot from 3, look out!

I was going to suggest Nunn is a Mitchell like player for this year's team. Not saying he's in the same class, but no-one has Nunn's quickness on this team. If Mr. Nunn plays with the confidence he did last night, we are going to be so incredibly tough. This team can go far. I am holding my 60-1 Natty bets closely. Imagine defenses having to really pay attention to Nunn now and how that can open up things for JaKobe and RayJ. You will not be able to guard everyone. The key is Nunn attacking and playing with Mitchell-like confidence. Pumped to see him growing in his swag.

While he has some obvious weaknesses in our switching man scheme, I wouldn't call Nunn a poor defender -- he's quite good, for instance, at the top of our zone. But I'd agree that he's not in Mitchell's stratosphere on that end of the court. In fairness, though, almost no one is.

The only other small quibble I'd have with your post is that Nunn has been consistently good from 3 this season. He's been a 40 percent 3-point shooter pretty much all year. Even when he was struggling in other areas offensively, I always felt comfortable with him taking open 3s. In fact, I was wanting him to focus more on being a spot up shooter and to be more confident letting it fly. That's one part of his game I've been pleasantly surprised by and consistently impressed with.

In our man defense, I have consistent PTSD remembering guys getting around Nunn and Walter over and over again. But I do agree they are both looking better in zone.

Now if Walter can just somehow get out of his shooting slump (especially the 3 balls) and Love can get back on the floor, we have the makings of a true 4 headed monster at the guard position that should make us really dangerous and fun to watch - especially as March approaches.

If Walter can ever start shooting over 40% from three watch out. Each game I keep thinking this is when he's going to break out.

I have been hard on him because I know he has it in him . No he is not Davion Mitchell, but he has a little bit in him. If he can continue to hit those threes like that, he can take people off the dribble, he will be hell to deal with.O
