Been impressed with Lohner the last few games. Doesn't fill up the box score, but it seems like he has really embraced his role and plays in total control of that role. He does a lot of little things that I think positively impact winning. He doesn't turn the ball over, hustle's back on defense, and is an extremely effective rebounder for the limited minutes that he plays.
Does he get beat by his man occasionally or get caught out of position sometimes? Sure. Is he a scoring threat? No. But it seems to me that in his limited minutes this season he finds a way to make 2-3 plays a game that positively impact winning. There have been a few times where he has snagged critical offensive rebounds at opportune moments.
I was disappointed with his performance last season, but have been pleasantly surprised with his development this year.
