How big of an impact was it?
What works?
What needs to be better?
(we've done tiny and camera angles ad nauseam)

Actually, I have gotten used to seeing the games on TV and don't even think about it any longer. However, I would suspect that to "fix" the camera angles probably involves some "reconstruction / repositioning" that you just cannot do when you have games going on basically every week. Whatever will be / can be done is probably only going to be able to occur in the off season.JP1037 said:
I know the camera angle has been beat to death but "we are working on it" from Mack doesn't give me much confidence.
Will you fix this exceptionally poor error in judgement? Yes or No?
But live games here are special. Exceeded my high expectations.
I was going to say the same thing. Watching the game on tv last night, I didn't even think about the camera angle. It was a little different at first, but I think I've gotten used to it.blackie said:Actually, I have gotten used to seeing the games on TV and don't even think about it any longer. Not sure what you're talking about, last time I was there there was no observable place they could even put restrooms right now on the second level. It needs to be addressed.Stefano DiMera said:
There's restrooms open now on 2nd level I heard.
I shouldn't have to walk through an unfinished stair well (which based on McLane that stair well will never be finished) to get to a bathroom in the upper deck. It is traveling a significant distance to get from the upper deck to the lower deck restrooms or concessions. If they don't want concessions up there, fine but there should be restrooms.GoodOleBaylorLine said:
I don't get the gripe about no bathrooms in the upper level. It's a pretty typical walk to the bathrooms and there seem to be enough. It's only 7000 seated capacity, so splitting it up into all kinds of "levels" doesn't make sense. You aren't that far from anything
I don't love the concessions, but they are efficient. From the original plans, I am not sure that the Chik Fil a or Pops stands were even supposed to be there.
I don't love the entrance either because it is asymmetrical with the escalator on one side. I think it looks weird. But again, it gets people in and out efficiently.
Pretty much everything else A, with student section set up and acoustics being A+.
Great energy too.
There's no ADA on the camera side of the court, but there are jumbo shrimp donors with fancy rolling chair seats who would have to sit closer together if they put a camera there. I figured they might lose 3-4 loge seats to do so.Mitch Henessey said:
They can't announce they're changing the camera angle definitively, because moving it to where it should have been in the first place involves displacing some ADA seating. You can't just announce you're moving people out of their seats without working it out with the seatholders first.
That said, not thinking about it before the building opened was a stunning lack of planning. Inexcusable, frankly.
What do you mean? Too loud? I think the noise (acoustics, crown noise) is great. That place goes from 0 to 100 in half a second.SoonerFrogs said:
place was built for in-person basketball. and it succeeds highly at that. except for the noise.

The never ending music is what I mean. Call me old or whatever, but its really annoying. I take the kids to the game, they have questions and its almost impossible to converse with the person sitting next to you. Would never complain about crowd noise, thats legit.
