Since a 2 seed is doable, I'm curious about opinions on what the minimum is between now and the end of the B12 Tournament to get there?
To get a 2 seed, we will need to win out .Johnny Bear said:

Saying a thing is "doable" suggests to me there is a certain amount of probability in it. I don't see that. Way too many variables. Tennessee has a tough game tonight and KY at home. If they win out, they are a 1, putting Arizona on the 2. Marquette has an injury, but their drop would likely be countered by Creighton who is on the same line as us. Same story for NC and Duke. Which brings us to Iowa State. Though we beat them in Waco, they lock up 2nd place in the Big 12 with a win tonight, while we are still hoping to lock up 3rd or 4th seed in the Conference tournament. If ISU beats BYU, not sure anything that happens at the Big 12 tourney will make a difference.Johnny Bear said:

In that scenario I do believe another head to head win against ISU would secure us a 2 seed over them, or a face plant by them in the first round and us going to the championship game.TWD 1974 said:Saying a thing is "doable" suggests to me there is a certain amount of probability in it. If we beat ISU a second time in the semis, yes it might make a seeding difference. I think my doubts come down to the power 5 conference tournaments and the decline of their influence on the selection committee. Example (a tough one), 2 years ago, Baylor limped into the conference tourney without Jonathan and LJ. We lose our first game to OU, yet somehow, we keep the no. 1 seed. Why? I have come to think that an unintended consequence of being the best basketball conference is that our conference tournament has become largely irrelevant to the NCAA selection process. In the 24 hours leading up to selection, the committee often has its hands full dealing with the selections down the line--an upset in a lesser tourney shakes up the 8-12 seeding. I would think the last thing they want to do is realign the 1st and second seeds on Sunday--which will realign everything below them! Granted they will do it if they have to, but someone is going to have to look awfully good or awfully bad to make a change on the top lines.IvanBear said:In that scenario I do believe another head to head win against ISU would secure us a 2 seed over them, or a face plant by them in the first round and us going to the championship game.TWD 1974 said:Saying a thing is "doable" suggests to me there is a certain amount of probability in it.
