The problem is KU, and league offices do want that happening it would become way too clear how biased officiating is towards teams like KU if that was allowed.

Doesn't KU have a history of letting early round teams beat or scare them?

Chuck and Jet are pointing out valid criticisms , and all Clark can do is get defensive? He comes off looking like a company man here. Weird place to get heated.

I don't think Kansas has ever lost in the first round. They came very close last night. Then again, this year has been pretty unprecedented for them already.

They lost to Bucknell in the mid 2000s. I believe they were a 3 seed, but it's one of the biggest upsets ever based on point spread.

They lost in the opening round in back-to-back years in '05 and '06. They lost to Bucknell the first year and Bradley the next. They haven't lost in the first round since then, though.

I still do not understand why the ref who did have a clear view of the play didn't waive off the foul. Per usual it was the ref no where near the play that called the foul (despite the fact his angle wouldn't have seen any hit of contact either).

The normal KU (Duke/UNC) ref scam is to make biased calls up to about 5 minutes left in the game, and then call it even. By that point, KU usually has a comfortable lead, and that last 5 minutes leaves a better taste is everyone's mouth and evens out the box score. Remember that UNC fans were apoplectic when we came back on them because of this.

But sometimes they've got to step in late, like last night. That's a lot uglier and usually gets people talking
