Sounds like the Arkansas job is Jerome Tang's if he wants it, but their fans may prefer other candidates.

I'm also told K-State is prepared to sweeten Tang's deal and is highly motivated to keep him in Manhattan.

Based on this, Tang's 23-11 down year at KSU over qualifies him for Arky.

Unless Arky really money whips him (i.e. offers something KSU can't possibly match) this appears to be pretty much of a lateral move to me.

Tang is currently at the top of the Razorbacks' list to replace Eric Musselman.

Not really. Muss had an uncharacteristically bad year at Arky after going to three Sweet 16's and two Elite Eights. He has more on his resume than just this year, and definitely more than Tang, who has had one good year and one bad year.

The XII is looking as stable as the SEC and B10. The payout isn't as high but it is pretty damn stable and in Tang's sport, top brand.

No sport other than Big 10 and SEC football programs are going to be stable when the SEC and B10 get their way and players end up with some kind of payroll. I hope the big 12 works out but we need to be realistic here that there's 0% chance this conference looks remotely the same in 5 years, likely much much less. And everyone not in a mega tv contract like the SEC and B10 is going to have trouble paying players. Heck a handful of big 10 and SEC teams are going to have trouble doing that.

Drew to UK is not likely to happen but the one thing that should scare Baylor fans wanting to keep him is Scott and Homer are good friends with Barnhart.
