Embarrassing

Bet any decent conference opponent 1st half to cover v BU on the road. KU, Hou, Tech, WVU.. I expect BU not to cover any of the first halves. Would make the season easier to watch.

I'm now worried we're going to stunt Wright's development by creating a ton of bad habits playing on this dumpster fire.

Love is way too soft. I would not expect him to do much the real of the season. I've heard that the coaching staff is very frustrated with his lack of availability.

Then why didn't they give him reasons to leave in the off season, it's obvious this is what he was going to be this year.

The coaches thought that he would pan out and be different. I've heard that a lot of people are getting in his head and telling him to just sit. That if he plays and doesn't produce, it will hurt his draft status. Love thinks that he is better than he truly is.

To be fair we've missed 3 or 4 layups and they chucked in a 40 footer

They the better team gut this could easily be a 2 possession game even with all the trash we putting out there
You and I are watching different games. We're getting abused.

Ummm dude. It was a 12 point game when I said that. Just math bro

We've been down 20+ points at various stages of the game to Gonzaga, Tennessee, St. Johns, Iowa St and Arizona.

I can't wait to see the usual homers spin this one. The roster construction needs completely overhauled. I don't care if it means next year is a full rebuilding year.

lol draft status. The most concerning part of what you're hearing is the staff seems more delusional about this roster than the average Homer does. That's not good they have such a bad pulse on the team…

We just aren't very good. I'll get flamed per usual by the homers. But this team isn't very good. They've proved that this year. We haven't beaten a single good team yet and the seasons halfway over. Tonight was gravy anyways. But it would have been nice to be competitive. Hopefully we at least make a game of it

Lol yep. Said it clearly last game. Then I throw a little bit of a compliment at the team and one of the homers is like nah we suck which wasn't my point as I've already made it clear my opinion is this group of available personnel ain't no good.

Roach was pegged by some on here as a top 5-10 portal guy. Never understood that take. He was solid at Duke, but he benefitted heavily from playing with pros.

We've been dominated from start to finish. The score is just a product of that.

This score is exactly what it should be with the way those two teams played in the first half.

bear2be2
How long do you want to ignore this user?
We have an 11-to-23 assist-to-turnover ratio the past two games. That is putrid.

This may be the worst group of guards Scott Drew has had since Year 2.

If our guards are going to be this bad, we need to overhaul everything and play through Norchad Omier. He should be getting a post touch every possession. Play inside out. These guards aren't good enough to create good offense.

I miss the hell out of RayJ Dennis. Anyone who criticized him last year should feel bad about himself. He was the only thing that kept last year's team from looking like this one.

No I mean the fact they thought he'd radically change his stripes defensively, and recovery effort wise. He's been this way since he joined the team. He's a fun offensive player who's an absolute China doll that cannot be relied on to play a full season or even really half a season.

He should have been moved on from for injury reasons and politely told to go somewhere else where they can afford to lose a starting quality player for months at a time.

Goes back to the coaches clearly had no pulse whatsoever even less than the causal fan that the roster they were putting together made zero sense.

Will never know the full truth. But I would be curious what Langston actual injury supposedly is right now. Dudes been out for 2 weeks with ankle soreness… I'm arguably his biggest fan. But he and BU need to mutually part at seasons end

In summary…Omier and Wright are the only ones who can create their own shots. VJ is way overrated. Wright has potential. We don't have shooters this year. And, our defense is porous. We need length and we don't have it. Tonight we are being exposed by a team that shares the ball and plays stifling D.

Get on the flight back to Waco.

Are you being serious right now? We're shooting 25.9 percent from the field, 11.1 percent from 3 and have a 2-to-7 assist-to-turnover ratio while allowing Arizona to shoot 53.6 percent from the field.

We are getting absolutely murdered. There is no silver lining here. There are no what ifs. This is domination.
IvanBear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes but the Duke guys I know (and these are like very connected booster types), all complained Roach thought way too highly of himself, was desperate to be "the man" and that it was a problem, because he's clearly not.

Maybe not an issue with a better coach like K but he was viewed as a limiting factor the last year.

I agree. Just speculating, but Drew lost some good coaches the last couple of years, and almost all of their contributing players from last season. You can bookmark this, but I would bet that Love doesn't play 5 more games this season. I've heard that he practices on a weekly basis without any signs of injury.

Oh I love him too, but the injury at the end of the last year said a lot about he's not durable enough to play.

I was hoping he'd be a starter this year I like him so much, he's absolutely a better player than Nunn except he doesn't ever play. It's so disappointing, but extremely predictable.

If that's true than you kick him off the team. That's a cancer not a teammate.
