Just saw that we've had 19 FTs, they've had 4.
When you run a zone, you're not going to foul much. And our zone in particular largely ensures that we won't even in position to foul.Big12Fan2024 said:

This is what you have to do at home. Just get the game close enough to get the crowd into it and your opponent to pucker.Quinton said:
Time for the token spike in energy 10 minutes a game. Az completely let them back in. Need to finish it now.

You're ******ed. If you want to ***** by all means go right ahead. *****ing about Omier when roach and Nunn have sucked all season is hilarious
I'm the top Nunn hater on this board so don't come at me with that mess, I've been calling his game for what it is since the middle of last season, and I agree roach is a cancer.
But here's a fact omir often hurts us as much as he helps. His career also speaks to that. He's a career foul problem guy, and has only ever played on one good team in his career. Take away that Miami final four team (which he was riding the bench for foul troubles in their best win against Texas) and he's never played on a 20 win team.
He's a dude who gets his stats on bad rosters and and that's exactly what's happening this year as well. Multiple things can be true this roster construction sucks, Roach is Drew's biggest recruiting miss maybe ever, Nunn should have never been counted on to be more than a 10 minute guy, and Omir collects stats while making tons of stupid plays.
This team would be terrible without Omier. With him, it likely sneaks into the tournament.
Diagnosing him as the problem on a team full of actual problems is moronic.

Our free throw shooting has killed us tonight.

Bro…. You realize Omier played on a F4 Miami squad right?? That's a bad roster ? That roster was loaded with high end college talent.
If you're gonna make dumb comments at least make sure they're accurate.
Norchad is our best player
It takes a lot to take that award from Roach.Big12Fan2024 said:
I will award Rob Wright the AJ Walton Award of the night -- best player at dribbling the air out of the ball with nothing to show for it.
It was a close battle between about 4 of them.bear2be2 said:It takes a lot to take that award from Roach.Big12Fan2024 said:

And this is yet another game where Norchad Omier's offensive touches are completely incidental.
The guy's shooting 71 percent from the field and his only touches/shots come off offensive rebounds.
Why we would prefer to let crappy guards fail to play-make when we have a great back-to-the-basket post scorer on our roster is utterly beyond me. I will never understand it.
It wasn't a blueblood until Lute Olson got there and brought national recruiting to Tucson.Harrison Bergeron said:
Completely random ... Arizona as a basketball blue blood never makes sense to me ... not exactly a hotbed of basketball talent in the state ...
He's 5 for 7 tonight. He should have twice that many shot attempts.Guitarbiscuit said:bear2be2 said:

Good point. Problem is I think he is being guarded by a 7 footer if I'm not mistaken who actually has some athleticism. But I do see your point.
