Aub/Mich is a hell of a game. Great atmosphere. Lots of banging in the paint

wish there was a way to turn off the score bug at the top of the screen. When I'm flipping between two games I try not to look… But sometimes I inadvertently look up there

That 18-2 Auburn run was brutal.

Cryer 1-11 now. UH only leads by 2 with 4:17 left.

Does anyone else think these officials are favoring Purdue over Houston tonight?

No.. because Purdue just got screwed 2 calls in a row leading to a Houston 3 pointer

Another great game. I was sure houston would win by double digits plus tonight.

I know its the end of the game but that cannot be a more obvious foul. It has to be called.

I know they don't like to call late game fouls… but that looked like a pretty obvious offensive foul

Foul by houston on the rebound too.

Purdue fans will have plenty of reason to be irate if houston wins on this next possession

Many non calls the last few minutes. That's what has allowed Purdue to tie it up.

Horrific defense there, how do you have that level of mental lapse.

This is not a good Houston team but they're kinda like that cockroach you just cant kill because they play so dirty.

They survived Cryer going 2 for 13. I bet he heats it up in the next game.

Playing Tennessee I'm going to assume he doesn't. They're tall good at defense and will smother him. He's too short. Having watched both this year for all the reasons we sucked against TN and looked good against UH. I expect TN to win that game.

They seemed to favor Purdue in the first half and Houston in the second. I guess that's an attempt to be balanced. Definitely not how it should be done.

Fatigue. We've seen it in multiple games this year.

I agree. TN will likely be the best defensive team they have faced, and they have great guards.

In the handful of games I've seen every single critical turning point where they absolutely need a basket, they score. That's a sign of a good basketball team.

They're clunky as hell and play an ugly style. But it wins games bc other college teams don't have the mental fortitude to play intense and concentrate a full 40 minutes. It works so credit where it's due. Good team with a "unique" style.

I'm surprised that the tourney has been allowed to be more physical this year. It's helped, and their pg keeps willing 3s to go in even though he measures/aims his shot.

The clear offensive foul that Houston's got away with in the final seconds and the other 2-3 calls that gave them possession when it was crystal clear Purdue ball were egregious. Definitely could have changed the outcome and we'll never know

If I was a Purdue fan I'd feel like I got Zoubek'd

I think sometimes officials call games in relation to the reputation of coaches, particularly with prominent coaches. I've watched Padilla and Kissinger allow Houston to play overly physical all year and then when they officate other teams in the conference in games not involving UH it becomes a touch foul called game. I believe Kelvin's reputation of having a physical defense plays to his advantage in most situations. Unless, of course, he ever runs into Duke.

I feel like Bruce Pearl's and Rick Barnes' teams have been allowed to play physical ball all year, whereas I've seen Bama have multiple guys foul out for touch fouls for doing similar things. I feel like officials expect Pearl's and Barnes' teams to play physical so they call their games that way. O

I'm not suggesting the officials are cheating for Kelvin, Bruce or Rick or that what Kelvin, Bruce or Rick are doing is wrong. I just think its human nature and that's the way the ball rolls. The opposing team just has to adjust in a lot of instances.
