Tech has now been involved in the 2 best games of the tournament imo

Goodness these teams have no awareness Florida chilling with no time and Tech stupid foul

Florida's finishing is worse than ours. Their intensity and rebounding is way too sporadic.

Tech pulling an Arkansas at the moment but this Florida team is really underwhelming right now. Their bigs got the same basic move pulled on them 20 times.

As much time as he spends on the court, he may take the shot!

Another boneheaded move by Tech out of panic. They were gonna get the 10 second count.

Seemed like Tech kinda rushed that 3 didn't they?

Tech collapse is more self inflicted than the Arkansas collapse against tech.

Florida with absolutely terrible defense there. No energy and no contest on the game tying shot. Lucky Tech missed and is imploding

I feel like this was fitting with how tech performed this season, a very good team that found ways to blow their potential. You gotta think their depth was a factor in that.

I continue to be unimpressed with Florida, I think they lose in the final four in the auburn rematch

Auburn already beat Michigan St?

No but this is consistent with my bracket.

I have Mich St in my F4. But I do think Auburn beats them tomorrow. Broome is gonna have a huge game I think

I think that's a very fair assessment. Such a big dropoff when Toppin has to get breathers and they bring in Frederiko. Overton is kinda hit or miss. McMillian was the only one Tech could really count on off the bench to get things rolling.

I do, yeah. I was surprised how their bigs looked. I was surprised at their stagnation on offense. They made shots when it counted and pulled it off so credit to them.

Gotta give Tech credit. That was a pretty good choke job.

Tech Coach out there blowing timeouts like he's giving away candy, and still didn't have his team keep Florida off the three-point line.

If he had a timeout or two left, he could have talked basic strategy - especially when you only need a 2-point basket to take the lead.

Now compare that to Kelvin Sampson's late game coaching last night, and you can see the difference between one guy who knew what he was doing (versus the other one who didn't).

I have followed Florida closely this year. That is the worst game I have seen them play all season. Give credit to tech… They were tough as nails. I know Florida laid an egg against Georgia late in the season, but I didn't see much of that one.

I'm surprised Florida didn't change their defensive game plan to some degree. Tech shot practically every shot in the second half within 5 feet of the basket, and Florida seemed to make no adjustments. They played straight up one on one without much double teaming. And UF shot uncharacteristically poor from three it until the last two minutes of the game.

The only team that has truly impressed me has been Duke. Everyone else has major flaws.

Now watch Duke lose.

Yup Fl just shot poorly. And tech I'm sure played a part in that. It's fairly obvious a few posters on here haven't watched the Gators this year until tonight. Really good team who played poorly. Happens sometimes

In this particular game they had a couple of players hit key shots and the other players make bonehead mistakes. Like someone else said, they left the game tying 3-pointer wide open. But he missed. A better team would have put their foot on the throat.

But someone else said this was their worst game so maybe they got it out of their system, I just wasn't wowed by them.

And their coach seems sketchy.

No kidding. If you're judging Florida by this game, I can see why one would think they are a flawed team, but I think they'll get it back together.

Their coach is sketchy. Teams are gonna go through stretches where they look bad. Tech made FL look bad for stretches today. They made a really good player in Will Richard look bad. However, their body of work is more indicative of who they are than 1 game. A game they won I should add.
Duke imo is the most impressive team so far. And Bama can absolutely beat them tonight

Which is exactly what we've all said. Underwhelming doesn't mean they're trash, it means they haven't played nearly as well recently as they did late in conference.

BTW.. when I said Tech outperformed I was talking their entire resume..not tonight..

And same with Florida.. they were dominant all season..

It's easy to pick warts on a team in a one game sample like this.. great game. Tech hits free throws and probably wins

It's March. All that matters is surviving and advancing. They're in the F4. Fair to say they've done just that so far. They just destroyed a Maryland team 2 nights ago who's pretty damn good. They've had a tough ass draw. Beating Dan Hurley is March is a tall order. To say they've been underwhelming this tournament is just ridiculous. They played bad tonight and still won. If that isn't the definition of a good team I have no idea what is.

Through 13 minutes, Sears with 0 points. Nelson with 0 points. Not a good sign for Bama.

It's going to be FL vs Duke in the Natty. And Tennessee is beating Houston tomm. I'll be back for crow if I'm wrong on these
