Wow, this team plays w/ a fire in their belly. I like it. No lethargic starts like we might have seen w/ previous teams.

So far fantastic on the offensive end. Terrible on the defensive end. And racking up fouls to boot.

Main scoreboards froze up with about 2 min left. Don't even run any annoying ads that block the stat boards.

Score is only correct on the ribbon boards.

3s aren't dropping in the second half so far but good looks.

Playing hard on defense. I think TS is pretty skilled.

Rataj is pretty skilled down low

Great defense for awhile and now not so much.

Tarleton is playing better than Baylor the last couple minutes.

Single-handedly keeping TS in the game

Johnson is going off for them, and good for him, but I love Isaac Williams. That dude is a grinder, and his ability to get into the paint is a difference-maker.

Not a good sign that somebody like Tarleton State has absolutely destroyed us on the boards.

Why isn't Powell playing more? Is he hurt?

3 fouls in 5 minutes in the 1st half. Was out of position a lot.

Meanwhile, Kip Kissinger keeps making his presence known.

Two steps forward Sunday night. Step to a step and half backward tonight. Kinda what you'd expect with an entirely new team in only their 3rd game.

We have a team who can shoot the lights out. From the opposite spectrum, thank god there's no Press Virginia in the Big 12. I'm not sure this bunch (other than maybe Williams) could break a press.

Powell being limited to eight minutes had a lot to do with that. But rebounding is probably going to be a constant struggle for this team.

Losing Bodo Bodo sucks so bad. I think we'd be really good with him healthy.

Just win this time of year. Nobody remembers how you did it in March.

Just avoid bad losses and pick up a few good wins, so you can get into the tournament with a .500 (or preferably better) Big 12 record.

It's clear that given Bodo Bodo's completely unknown status we have no "plan B" for rebounding and at least a modicum of rim protection if Powell gets in foul trouble.

There were some positives.

--Carr is a stud. He's emerging as our go-to guy.
--Williams is legit. He's going to play 25-plus minutes a game for this team and be a significant contributor.
--Agbim is really steady with the ball and a marksman from 3. He continues to handle the combo guard role wll.
--We shot well from the field, 3-point range and the free-throw line.
--Skillings is the blue-collar stat stuffer we all knew he was.
--This team is really balanced offensively, so we don't need too rely to heavily on any one player.

We've just got kep playing together and get better. The defense can use some work, obviously, and we've got to rebound better. But this team has the puzzle pieces. Just need to put them together.

It is what it is. We couldn't afford more than two rotation post players in this portal class and one went down before the season started. Bad luck.

We need another big body. I don't see how we make it through a Big 12 schedule with just Powell. Too many physical teams. A little disappointed that Rataj isn't more of a pounder. I just never saw him play much at Oregon St. Carr, Skillings, Tounde -- all good at what they do, but they just don't have the physical bodies to do that. I will be interested to see how Sanchez gameplans for Ejiofor in two weeks.

Williams continues to surprise me. You were correct on him.

And, like you, the best thing I like about this team offensively compared to the past few years is that so many on this team can score so an off night shooting by someone isn't going to kill the entire offense.
