Thank God we have Drew with the way football is going. I know it's waaay too early, but if this team makes it to the second weekend in the tournament, then I will consider this season to be Scott Drew's best all-around performance as a coach, with the new coaches he brought in and having to recruit and build a WHOLE NEW TEAM from scratch. And yes, that includes his championship season. It's still a big "if" but things seem to be working so far.

Rataj seems to be showing the level we hoped for over the past few games. He's a much better ball handler than expected.

I loved watching our new defensive coach from Virginia holding court with the guys during a late game timeout. Our defense is night and day versus the past two years.

I'm not worried about point guard. Other than Powell, everyone we run out on the floor can handle the ball. Our floor movement was good.

I'd like to see someone press us pretty heavily so we can get some work in.

I think it's important to remember that he's being played out of position on both ends of the court right now because of our lack of a second big.

I've been frustrated with him at times, and he's not going to be the dynamic scorer I thought he would when we signed him. But I think he's going to be a really solid stat-stuffer type who has the skill set to help us in a lot of different areas.

That's a risky proposition against this team, though, because it's probably more likely to end up a dunk on the other end than it is a turnover.

We don't have any elite ball-handlers, but we have four guys on the floor at any time capable of handling the ball and making a pass out of a trap.

But I do hope we get some work on that before Big 12 play starts.

I think it was very important for most of this brand new team to have the opportunity to play those preseason games in Germany. I'm sure that has been a big reason they are playing so well together this early in the season.

A lot to love about that half honestly. We just missed too many second chance points. I think that changes in the second half. Going to come down to the wire. Sic 'em!

Long way to go for Drew and the boys. Long way to go.

15 point loss to the #14 team. Ouch.

Gotta be better before conference play starts.
