LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Baylor men’s basketball (4-0) will continue the Players Era Festival against the No. 14 St. John’s Red Storm (3-2) on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 3:30 p.m. CT, at Michelob Ultra Arena. The game will be televised on TruTV.

I love this team. They don't get phased at all by early struggles. They just keep playing and competing. The past three teams could have learned a lot from this group in that regard.

We saw what the past 3 teams did in these situations: Marquette, Michigan St, Gonzaga. The hole started and kept getting bigger. Today the hole started and these guys battled to make it competitive. We may still get blown out in the end, but we didn't fold like what happened in those other 3.

Rataj has nowhere near the athleticism as most of these St. John's guys, yet he has dominated the boards. He has 8 already, which is twice as many as Ejiofor.

Rataj is really crafty. I gave him some crap during and after the UT-RGV game because of that lack of athleticism, but he's a skilled player who contributes in a lot of ways, which is impressive given that he's played all season out of position.

Again Tounde out of control really hurt on that last possession and created a four point turnaround. Heck of a comeback from a terrible start thanks largely to Carr. Dude is amazing.

Damn that ATV!

Would have really liked to see a lineup with Bodo Bodo in the middle and then Rataj and Carr playing natural positions.

Tounde not seeing the floor with the speed step up from high school. That last possession before half should have been a back out and play for last shot. Instead, he's out of control again, misses, and SJU goes down for a easy basket right before half.

Hopefully this will be a learning experience for him. Against top end teams like this you have to value possessions. He's 1-9 and not many of those have been the shot that should have been taken on that possession.

St Johns shooting 59% from the floor and 50% from 3 on 12 fewer shots than the Bears.

Baylor outrebounding them 25-14 (Rataj with 8) with 17, yes 17, of those OFFENSIVE rebounds including all 8 of Rataj's.

Bears have 5 assists and 6 TOs in the first half

My only knock remains the freedom Drew allows the 5 star freshman to play with. Yessoufou directly cost us 8 points that I can think of by playing way out of control.

Took two haymakers (one from three, one from inside) and got up off the mat both times.

Sloppy play to end the half let most of that comeback slip, unfortunately.

We need Skillings to play a good second half. His foul trouble kept Yessefou in a game he's had no business playing in today.

Yep, and he's only been credited with one turnover, but that number could be three. He had two other balls stripped from him, resulting in possession changes.

Today, he didn't have much choice because Skillings picked up his second foul so early.

I think Drew has a done a good job of handling Yessefou for most of this year.

The knock on Skillings at Cincinnati is that he had a tendency to disappear from time to time. This looks like it's going to be one of those games.

He's been awful today.
