It is a shame Agbim doesn't have any of the dawg that Williams does on offense. Agbim probably has more natural talent but Williams wants it, and makes it happen on offense.

Not even travel. Ft Worth barely qualifies as a road game. DFW probably has more Baylor alumni than any other city.

Figures when we actually get offensive contributions from guys like Rataj, Powell, and Nnaji, guys like Carr, Yessoufou, and Agbim virtually disappear.

We have 2 legit P5 starting players on this roster.

One played decently on offense, scored 16 points but was 1-7 from 3 and got completely schooled time after time on D when he went one on one with Mikel Brown.

The other had his worst game in a Baylor uni on both offense and defense. Went 1-11 from the field, and 1-7 from 3. And was blown by on D time and time again in transition.

Not gonna win games against Top 25 teams when that happens.

As bad as the Memphis game was, I still held out hope because Drew kept hinting of bringing in a mid-season big who "could make a difference." Unfortunately, he should have said "could make a difference in 3 years."

He's definitely a guy you want to keep and be a key sub off the bench. And hopefully a combination of offseason workouts and Sanchez instruction will correct defensive deficiencies. He definitely has the dawg in him that you want on your squad.

Baylor is honestly the best job in the country. As long as you are good at least one year in your career, you have untouchable job security, and it's true in just about every sport. Same deal for the players. Come to Baylor and get paid big money with no real expectations. And people wonder where the fan apathy comes from

And there we are. The same people coming out to mock the program, insult anyone still supporting Drew and the program, and imagining they're the cool ones.

Those of us who were there before Drew know that there are no guarantees, and sometimes you just have a bad season.

The Bears played pretty well against Louisville, considering where we are as a team right now. UL hung 118 on NC State, which is not a bad team at all. UL hung more points on sixteen opponents than they laid on Baylor.

The Bears will be good again. They are actually improving now, even if they aren't winning those games. I guess some folks refuse to see that.

It's funny you say that because this was his agenda in the early days. I remember one season we started ~14-0 but it was against very mid level competition. It got us in the top 25.

I would be happy to go back to that even with a great team. Gonzaga does the opposite of that every year and always gets a good seed so we should be able to do the same.

Yeah I don't even say that as a negative. I'll always been of the opinion that if you know the team is elite schedule a tough non con. If you know it's a team that's going to struggle load up on non con cupcakes. I don't see the point in scheduling any tough non con's if you know your teams going to bad

IIRC, part of the problem is that we don't get marquee matchups at our place, the big names always get us at their place or at a neutral site.
