The game highlights how important JTT is to us, and how thin we are at the 4 and 5.

Exactly. We desperately needed an eligible Dainja for this reason exactly
I just hope that isn't the thing that keeps this team from accomplishing all its capable of.EvilTroyAndAbed said:IowaBear said:BUbackerinET said:

Or a healthy Tristan Clark

This game illustrates how thin our margin for error is. And why i think Gonzaga has a slight edge...if they had been off 21 days i think they handle iowa state..because they can throw it down low for offense if theyre shots arent falling...we cant do that..

Or maybe a little of both.
Jelly legs come from either sitting on the sofa eating Goo Goo Clusters for 3 weeks or something negative that has happened within your body. I saw multiple guys with jelly legs, and I don't think for one minute it came from sitting on the sofa eating Goo Goo Clusters. Even without team practice, these guys are finely tuned athletes who continue to work out on their own. Drew rotated and rotated and rotated throughout, and guys like Mayer saw very little playing time even when his height was needed at times.
I'll give you lack of practice as the reason why shots didn't fall as usual, but I don't buy lack of practice as the explanation for what I saw from several of the guys. Sorry. Don't believe in COVID, believe in COVID, I don't care. I know what I saw and I saw physical challenges with several of the guys.

I love the Goo Goo!!!!!! Maybe that's why I'm not a finely tuned athlete?

We are human. Practiced only 2 times in the last 21 days. And it showed.
I sit on the second row. We were gassed. Vital played most of the game with his tongue hanging out.
Yes, I was disappointed we didn't "dominate'. But in retrospect, am very proud we showed to grit to come back from 17 down.
And ISU played their butts off. Guarded us as good on the perimeter as anybody has all year. We didn't have many open shots from 3. In the second half, we started taking the ball to the basket and it helped.
But IMO, we won with defense. They made 3 FGs in the last 7 minutes. That is defense.
