Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua was interviewed by Ashley Hodge for SicEm365 Athlete+. Jon discussed his summer and development with the team, mentioning that they have a new group of guys that bring a fresh vibe to the team. He also emphasized the importance of building a strong team and stepping up as a leader.

They discussed the team's focus on competing and discipline, which Tchatchoua believes will be key to their success. He compared this team's defensive mindset to that of the Baylor team that won the national championship. The interview touched upon some of the new players and their contributions to the team, including Yves Missi, Ja'Kobe Walter, Jayden Nunn, Dantwan Grimes, and Miro Little. Tchatchoua praised their abilities and how they contribute to the team dynamic.

Ashley Hodge and Tchatchoua talked about his individual improvement, particularly in terms of his drives and finishing around the basket. He mentioned that he has been studying Nikola Jokic's game to improve his own skills, especially since the team plans to play him in the four and five positions.

They discussed the team's growth and how they have developed an identity, which was lacking in the previous season. Tchatchoua also expressed his appreciation for the life lessons and mental growth he experienced after going through a major injury.

Regarding NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals, Tchamwa Tchatchoua believes it hasn't affected the team's unity negatively. He expressed happiness for his teammates who receive NIL deals and emphasized the team's camaraderie.

When asked about Coach Drew's changes over the years, Tchatchoua stated that Coach Drew has remained consistent in his character and support for his players. He highlighted Coach Drew's emphasis on the players' spiritual life and well-being, which has had a positive impact on the team.

Tchatchoua was also asked about adding a former player to the coaching staff, to which he suggested either Freddie Gillespie or Obim Okeke due to their energy and positive impact on the team.

Regarding foreign players at Baylor, Tchamwa Tchatchoua believes the appeal lies in the coaching staff's ability to turn good players into pros. He mentioned that the coaching staff's track record and the team's strong culture are attractive to foreign players. He also noted that the language barrier and adjustment to a new training environment haven't been major issues for him and his teammates.
