See what you want to see. I never said NIL$ was the only reason, but it was apparently a/the major reason. I mention the NIL re Angel Reese every time I post about her because it was a very relevant factor and probably the relevant factor in her choice. You are welcome to think otherwise. And calling others clowns because of what you think happened... Look in the mirror.

As far as Kim being a great coach, find me where I have ever said she couldn't coach or recruit. I think she is a great coach and history has proved that. What I have said is that in her last years here she was having a harder time getting the recruits she wanted and had to lean more on the portal. Anyone can see that the Kim when she left here is not the Kim that is now at LSU. She is clearly rejuvenated. I was a big Kim supporter even through the BU men national championship days and beyond until she was preparing to leave. I lost all respect for Kim when she tried to bury our program on the way out. Ask the mods if you want verification.

In the meantime, bury your head in the sand if you choose to believe that high NIL dollars for top players aren't a major and often the major consideration for a recruit choosing a school. Why do you think Baylor football has recruited so few 5 star football players even when the relationships are already there for a number of them? Why do you think Mikayla Williams shut her recruiting down without taking any other visits? She is the first #1 player in the country to ever do so. Yes she had a previously longterm good relationship with CKM and Baylor/LSU but she was planning other trips until she got her NIL offer and shut it down. NIL matters and is a major factor. That's why every major college program is trying to bolster our NIL support including us. But keep telling your self otherwise. You'll sleep better.

Of course NIL matters! Who said it didn't? So does coaching, players want to play for elite coaches. Do they not? You're acting like NIL is the only factor and that's just hilarious because it completely discredits coaching. Something tells me If LSU was trash you wouldn't even be mentioning LSU. But since they're successful it MUST be NIL nothing more. I sleep fine, those struggling to sleep are the ones who can't fathom Mulkey having success. I imagine you, AP, and Sicem45 aren't getting much sleep these days

that's how Saban gets players as well. Not sure the point. You don't think BU has NIL $?

We are ramping up but when Angel came out last year we didn't offer that. We should be more competitive with NIL this year

I sleep very well thank you. Yes, all those things matter but that doesn't make them The deciding point. You just seem to be able to factor out what is obviously a major reason and assume it didn't matter when others in the know said it did. Anyway, I'm done here. We will have different opinions.

No doubt Kim can coach, but she was fortunate to get Angel Reese from the portal ( supposedly with help of NIL).

Kim is HOF coach but with no Angel Reese, LSU's season would look different. That one portal player did make a big difference for her this season. Hope Nicki can get a couple of good transfer players in spring.
Fortunate or not she plays for LSU. Substitute Brittany Griner for Angel Reese, and then ask ourselves, would the Griner years have looked different. NIL or straight out recruiting she got them both. Job well done. Like it or not NIL is now a part of the process. Will be interesting to see who next years BU portal players are, and how much it cost. Life is good.

What a strange statement? You act like Baylor could have done something to stop her from going home to Louisiana and the flagship university of the State. She has been rejuvenated and is as excited as I have ever seen her. She took a program that won 9 games the year before she came and is one game away from final four. She was great at BU and I am thankful for the time she was here.

Not me or a ton of WBB fans. Maybe some who were jealous of her success and popularity.

There is one past Mulkey outfit that was questionable. I say that because 98% of the time, her "stylists" chose well and selected outfits that were classy and looked great. A few years ago, she came out on the court wearing a muddy green/ brown jacket that looked like something out of Costuming for the Hobbits in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It was puffy and ill-fitting, and may have had fringe on it, or either the fabric was shredded. I'm sure it was expensive. Maybe her "stylists" were on vacation that week and Kim borrowed part of a ghillie suit from Fort Hood. Definitely no feathers.

Say hello to the Pam Bowers era of Intramural teams on the court in the near future. FINALLY... we can focus on just Men's sports.

I am surprised that there are so many posters, who profess to be mbb fans only and say they couldn't care less about wbb, who are so into wbb coaches' fashion. This is especially true of those who have expressed the opinion why the obsession with Kim, she is gone and deserves no posts on this site.

BU basketball has been successful for years. LSU women's basketball has been horrible.... pretty sad if they already command more NIL money.

Schools like LSU, Alabama, etc.. have a lot of boosters. At a guess, they have far more money sloshing around in their athletic department than Baylor.

You are correct in that they haven't been deep in tourney for some time,,( Last Sweet 16 was 2014)..but they were "dancin' in 15,17, and 18..Guess I look a little longer back than most...Probably just age..Edit: Wouldn't surprise me in the least if impatient LSU "Big Dogs" were ready , willing, and able to do what they believed it took to get their once high flying program back to "flight level."

So Mulkey had zero to do with her choosing LSU?? It was only about money? Reese has stated a billion times how much happier she is now at LSU than she was at Maryland. Maybe I'm just an idiot but it sure feels like playing for Mulkey has really helped her. Some of you act like the lady can't coach and these recruits are simply choosing LSU for $$ and nothing else
Nobody truly believes she can't coach. but she is an incredible piece of ****.
