Marcayla is a DOG !! She is as good as advertised. I watched quarter finals, semi finals, and the championship game. She was phenomenal. Midrange, 3pointers, drive to the basket, rebounds, defense. She was everywhere. She was directing players to spots on the floor, calling plays, encouraging players and was the first person running to help a teammate off the floor. Her play was amazing and I was equally impressed with her leadership. To be honest, she is one of the most complete players i have seen . She is a
Combo between Bella and buggs. The games are on YouTube , If anyone wants to watch.

Sure did . I watched that game specifically to watch Marcayla vs the girl that canceled her visit to baylor. i wll pick Marcayla every time !!

Probably not the best look, but I think young athletes look at individual games and even seasons in some cases much differently than adult fans do that are totally tied to a specific team and have been for years. They are looking at a lot more factors than just the outcome of a particular game. They play themselves and very likely have been part of stinker games themselves and even contributed to the stink. They know that just like us in our careers, some days it is just not there for whatever reason.

I just don't believe they look at it the same way we do. Heck, if game outcomes mattered most, Baylor football would have never gotten out of the ditch that we dug during the Beall and Steele eras. Even more recently, there is more involved than game outcome as evidenced by the reversal in recruiting fortunes in the football program.

Miro Little was a men's basketball recruit who signed after coming for a game where Baylor got wiped out by Kansas. He was impressed with the way Drew handled the team after the game and that was one of the primary things that interested in him. You never know what we'll get a recruits attention. Chloe Johnson is incredible and she has shown early interest in our team. Let's hope she responds similarly.

Yes! I think Nicki does very well with team in down times . These times have happened every season she has been here and she always has gotten team back on track.

Im wondering how the recent firings are affecting the recruiting. Were they "steering" recruits in a negative direction? Was it nothing to do with their performance per se? Pure conjecture.

Saw this on instagram. Not sure what this means but something to keep an eye on. It could be a high tournament hosted by Jefferson university a d2 school or d2 player moving up to D1. We will see wait and see what happens. Not sure if it is in particular to 2025 class but still something to note.

Good find Scotty! I think there was a high school tournament there. There are a couple top HS sophomores from PA so that could be them.

I do know Sanai liked us earlier. She has been hurt. All top 50 players - Syla borderline but has played for Canada Jrs

Portal? It didn't start with CNC. I believe the last three years KM recruited here (which includes the last one that she didn't coach) we only had 4 total HS recruits I believe (J. Oliver, Gusters and Andrews and Dauda) and rumor was Dauda was trying to get out of her NLI before Mulkey left. We were seeing more transfers coming in.
