I don't pay much attention to SC, but not long ago they basically had a roster that could split into two teams of 5 and they both would be ranked in the top 10. I doubt much has changed. They could put any of them on the floor for the whole game (legs would be fresh this early in the season). I doubt a temporary lack of depth makes much difference for them at this point.

#2 UCLA over #6 UConn 78-67

Fudd tearing her ACL is a huge blow for UConn. Talk about bad luck on the injury front

1st and 3rd quarter killed UCONN. The era of assuming a team will win because of the name on their jersey is over !!

I feel so bad for her. UCONN also lost 6'5 mobile post player in the off-season to an achilles tear in the fiba games. UCONN can't stay healthy, and that sucks because a lot of their injuries are non-contact.

Caitlin clark got a little spicy in yesterday's game against Purdue Fort Wayne . This a great time for someone to help explain to me about fouls. They called caitlin for in a intentional foul. So what causes an intentional foul vs a technical foul to be called? I assumed the play was going to be a tech.

I found this article that explains technical, intentional, and flagrant fouls. A bit wordy. Perhaps someone can simplify in layman's terms ( this article is for officials).

She pushed her twice. Seemed like it should have been a technical . Not sure how much if a difference it would have made .

#10 NC state beats #3 Colorado by 18. Starting to notice a trend. I haven't seen a top 10 team play each other close yet. All the ones I have seen has been blow outs. Seems like ranked teams are playing none ranked teams tighter. I'm not sure if it's a testament to how good teams are or that the ranking are overrated.

Honeslty I haven't seen so Many top 10 upsets in women's basketball before. It use to be so rare. Now it is normal. Baylor is gonna have to bring their all every game because it's upset season.

#7 Lsu survives Virginia 76-73. If lsu wasn't missing 3 players, I think this would have been a 15-point win for them.

If they get Smith, Reese, Poole back they have the highest ceiling. If not… yikes could struggle all year

yeah losing some all american type players makes a difference especially when you have to replace them with freshman you will have ups and downs we witnessed it first hand.

NC State was unranked, projected 8th in their division. Coach Wes did well recruiting and with transfers, stayed under the radar. These ladies really playing well together! Seems like every game, another one steps up.

Agreed. The way smith was grabbing her knee seems like she might be out a few games. But reese and Poole back will make a big difference.

NC state looking real good. From unranked to top 10. I am liking how South Carolina and NC state are looking. Both with big statement wins.

Yes, Reese, Smith and Poole are 3 starters from championship game. Those are huge losses. They now need 3 key players to play well every game (Morrow, Van Lith and Flaujae). 2 freshmen started. Mulkey only played 7 players. Morrow played all 40 minutes, scored 37 points and 16 rebounds. She basically replaced both Reese and Smith in scoring and rebounding. She and Van Lith carried the team.

#16 Kansas State plays #5 Iowa tonight at 6:30 CT, but not televised. Will watch play by play on ESPN app.
