Everywhere south carolina plays it is going to be loud. SC is not the same team as last year they can shoot. You can not pack the paint. they have more size and more depth at the 4-5 position. I think Dawn is an outstanding coach and has been for a very long time. if i had to guess who wins i would say SC for sure because of those reasons.

I mean LSU packs that place for pretty much every woman's game. It's not just because SC is coming to town.
SC has more depth zero doubt about it. LSU has a better starting 5 imo. As far as the coaching matchup…. Mulkey> Staley. And that won't change even if SC wins and I think they do in a very close game

im not saying LSU doesn't i am just saying this is not something SC is not used to at all.

I feel good about LSU assuming they show up on both ends of the floor. They have been a bit streaky thus far this season, but if they are locked in on both offense and defense, they will be very difficult to beat. I feel like FG% and fouls will tell the tale when it is all said and done. They only meet once this season in conference play, so LSU must win this game to have a chance at the SEC regular season title, Regardless of the outcome, this game is great for women's basketball. I've heard that game tickets are going for a ridiculous amount.

LSU up by five at the half but SC looks out of sorts. They were down double digits at least twice. Both teams have an embarassing amount of talent.

What a great game the talent level for both teams! Off the charts. South Carolina more depth. Reese fouling out 4 minutes to play was the difference. Bree Hall was practically silent till her two big threes late for South Carolina. That was a great game and atmosphere.

Great game!! Not sure how Cardoso only committed 1 foul she was mugging all night.
Think LSU will take them in the dance if they meet again.
Overall, this was good for the woman's game and it's exposure

Depth won that game, but i think the crowd also really helped push that big run early. I am not sure how it would be on a neutral site especially if it was to be in Cleveland at the final 4.

Angel is good at what she is good at but i feel she has to expand her game or she might not even make a WNBA roster. But Morrow is a problem. She can do a lot on the floor and if she could just handle the ball she could really be like a Lebron type player for the WNBA just the style that she could bring to the game.

Chloe Kitts mannnn I wanted us to get her out of high school so bad and this just put salt in that wound. She is crafty and is still only a freshman. Well this is her first full year on the roster and she made a huge jumo over the summer.

People need to be talking about Bree Hall she is clutch and she is the true glue for this SC team. She is a leader even though she might not be option number 1. She reminded me of Didi for some reason especially when she blocked the shot on Reese.

Johnson for LSU is growing for sure!! she has been doing great things both years and has made a huge jump as well. Morrow and her will be a great duo if say Angel leaves for the draft this year.

I have recently fell in love with Coach Staley and how she is connected the W to the college game. She has been one of the best in my opinion ln recent years to really support both. She is getting her players ready for that next step and it is truly b helping the game grow and i am a huge fan of that!!
Coach Kim man she can just coach and people may not always agree with how she goes about it but she is always going to win it's just who she is. I love what this did for women's basketball!! i can't wait to see it continue to grow. I have a feeling this will be the best March Madness we have ever seen coming this year.

Mulkey had her team ready to play. Impressive performance by LSU. USC is threatening to become the new UConn.

i mean USC is doing it all getting players to the league to have huge careers, they can give NIL, they can literally create course curriculums for their recruits. The players seem to love Coach DS. She not only establishes relationships with her players while they are there but she maintains them. She supports them throughout their WNBA seasons. And they win. What else could players really ask for?

I don't follow it that closely and don't go out of my way to watch anything other than the XII, but doesn't she do it with 4-year players for the most part versus depending on the portal as most others seem to do?

I know that they have had some injuries and a departure, but was still surprised that they essentially played just 6 players. Other than Reese who fouled out after 29 minutes, the other 4 starters all played 35 minutes or more (35, 38, 38, 40). Poa did play 3 minutes, but looked overwhelmed when she was in and Mulkey quickly got her back out again. Morrow appears to be their best player and had a good game, but her last made bucket was with 7:52 left in the 4th. Williams going 1-10 from 3 pt really hurt them. 44% on FT's (4-9) didn't help too much either.

LSUs depth was depleted with Smith tore her ACL and Poole was kicked off the team. They would have a full 8-9 player rotation with those 2 still in the mix.

Pao Pao and Cardoso are from the portal the rest are her players. But like even Cardoso has already been there for three years now. She only spent her freshman year at Syracuse. She also got the other big from Juco but she has not really played much.

Reese looked gassed. I think their biggest struggle will be their legs come tournament time. They are going to get pounded in and out, and Mulkey didn't sub into she had to in the second quarter. Overall a great game by two highly competitive coaches with entirely different personalities. Shows there isn't one way to win. (Though I still believe neither is very good without their added height down low and the ability to use the body to create space)

#3 Colorado beaten by #25 Oregon State 62-68 last night.

Everyone uses portal now starting point guard is brand new from Oregon. And the big girl was a transfer I think 2 other transfers who are bench players.

#8 UConn loses at home to #15 Notre Dame 82-67 Hannah Hidalgo, ND freshman, scored 34 points.

UCONN V ND Check out the minutes played and the small rotations in this game and other big games. It always seems to be a universal complaint by every fan base too many minutes not enough player development but it happens at all the elite programs. Both teams played only 7 players ND had 3 play 40 minutes and UCONN had 2 play 40 minutes. Both teams had some injuries but still this is the way at most programs not just BU and LSU.

There are crazy good freshman this year! Those that come immediately to mind are Booker at UT, Watkins at USC, Crooks & Brown at Iowa State, Williams at LSU, Kitts at S Carolina, and the abovementioned Hidalgo at ND. Curious to follow them and see if they stick with original schools.

Yes, she came in a year early. My bad.

We offered Brown, Watkins,Williams Kitts, Hidalgo off that list but none really looked at us except Williams and maybe Kitts and that was probably more of a one way street.

Coca Cola supplied all 13K white t-shirts free. So Kim probably wore that outfit to thank Coca Cola.

Uconn has 5 injuries out rest of year. ND has 2 out. LSU had 1 injury & 1 out who left December. So some of the elite programs have several starters out and 5 starters playing 35-40 minutes. But SC has been lucky so far, no injuries, all are playing including freshmen. Teams have to deal with what has been handed to them.

Wonder when is the last time they got beat at home that bad?

I don't remember the margin but Baylor had a really good win at Storrs in 2020
