After beating #4 Utah (and Harvard) has there been a new poll?
Well, we played them at home. That should be a factor.fredbear said:
So the pollsters are not convinced that we are the better team.
My thought for reasoning is that the game was played in Waco and their big girl sat on the bench for basically a half....plus they started out higher than us.fredbear said:
There is no reasonable logic to place Utah, whom we beat, ahead of us. The game was played.
Thing is, most voters don't look at the games in detail enough to know get your observation. They only hear that the girl didn't play half the game. Just trying to throw out some reasons why voters who probably just look at scores and read the headlines vote the way they do. We better than a lot of people should know that head-to-head doesn't matter at times (Baylor-TCU football, for example)fredbear said:
Espn power rankings have us ahead of Utah.
And the half that the Utah big did play, as good as she was, did not go any differently than when she was on the bench. If head to head competition is secondary to gut feelings and intuition, there is no need to play the games.
Yes - not that I think we will need it but a little dressing room material might help the motivation of the team.Baylorbearsupporter said:
I don't mind us staying behind texas until December 30, unless they lose before then and drop below us. So we can show all the voters we are the best big 12 team, and better than texas.

I agree. I am hopeful we come out of those games still undefeated. Then we get Texas and we should be ready for them!Polarbear said:
We'll know so much more about this team at the end of December. Texas is the only ranked team (currently) on the schedule, but SMU, Oregon, Miami, Providence, and South Florida are all worthy opponents, and we need the competition for this team to develop. Can't wait!
