Losing to UCONN in 2021, while disappointing, didn't really irk me.

There's no guarantee that we would have held off UCONN in that 2nd half, even if we'd had Andrews and Oliver prepped.

No shame in losing to the GOAT.

Now losing to Oregon State in Dallas in 2016, on the other hand?

That loss should still irk everyone in this forum to this day!

Oregon State had absolutely NO BUSINESS even being on the same floor with us, much less beating us.
I have always attributed the loss to Oregon State and some other years where we failed in the SS or E8 to our crappy non-conference cupcake schedule. It didn't leave us prepared for the type of teams we would meet there and it gave the committee an excuse to push us down to a 2 seed when our W-L record would say we should have been a 1.

There were some years when we had a great home game against a Tennessee or UConn, but the rest would be the sisters of the poor. Back then if you didn't play good teams in non-conference, you didn't play any, because the conference was so weak.

This is one thing I like about CNC's scheduling. She is willing to play good teams in non-conference and will play them on the road.

I have such great memories of all the years watching all the wins, but somehow it's the losses that stick with me. I was at the ones mentioned above. But the worst memory of all time was the loss to Louisville. I have no stake, just a loyal fan. Being at that game was hell; I've never watched it again.

I had a ball watching our ladies win last night.

And on a positive note -- I and my first grade son were on the third row at the FF in 2012. Then he and I were at the men's championship in 2021 when he was a sophomore in high school. It stuck; now he's in his sophomore year at Baylor, and I have to go watch Sing Saturday instead of basketball!

Really irrelevant post. Just nostalgic. Grateful for all these memories; looking forward to beating the Frogs.

Losing ugly to aTm in 2011 in the tournament after beating them three times in conference was pretty traumatic. Aggettes had the Queen of All Flops, and Sydney Colson (now heading to Indiana Fever from Las Vegas Aces) would have been ejected today for all her nasty taunting. At least they went on to win the Natty.

In 2016 we played 3 ranked noncon opponents (S Florida, MichSt and Miami), as opposed to 1 this year (UCLA).

Two things bit us in that game. First, OreSt got away with lots of moving screens (their 2 bigs would come up the court side by side with the guard dribbling behind them, the bigs would clear out and stop just beyond the 3 pt line and the guard would have an uncontested shot).

Second, on defense Rueck doubled on one of our other players and dared Niya Johnson to shoot. Niya was visibly timid to pull the trigger. On the final play of the game, she hesitated too long trying to find someone to pass it to, then took an off balance 3 that clanked off the rim at the buzzer.

We were probably the only team in the country that could have stayed within 25 of UConn that year (and probably not by much). OreSt lost by 29 in the semis, and on the other side Syracuse and Washington upset S Carolina and ND, so neither could provide much more than a scrimmage for UConn.

Quinerlly on the road and Quinerlly at home is daylight and dark. On the road she doesn't even come close to attempting the number of shots she does at home. I imagine it's quite frustrating to her coach. For example at home it's 38 against UU, 26 against KSU, 31 against UCF, 29 against UC but on the road TCU 13, OSU 10, CU 15, BU 17. And in the BU game she scored 12 of those points in the 4th after the game was well over. All 5 of WV's losses are away. I truly believe if the Big 12 Tournament was played in Morgantown that WV would win handily.

notre dame's star guard, hanah hildago, has gotten full of herself. rather than playing with confidence she has now gone arrogant. like baylor v. k-state, fsu was too quick for the irish.

No matter how hard I try, just can't listen to the ESPN WBB threesome of Duncan, Carter, and Ogumike. Carter and Ogumike constantly squeal, and still not forgetting their biased Juju Watkins support when we played them in the Sweet 16 last year. To them, BU wasn't even in the building. How I miss the old days of Wingo, Lawson, and Peck. Mute is my friend.

I was disappointed in Ogumike's statement about Baylor's nine game win streak, "We care but not that much". I'd expect more respect from a Texas native.

That was really nasty thing for her to say! Guess I missed it since I muted it. Both she and her sister were heavily recruited by CKM. Guess she's just a hater, and just gonna hate.

Ogumike's spew toward Baylor goes back to Nneka committing to Kim to come to Baylor, then her dad gets a tongue lashing from Simmie Colson about it and she changes to Stanford right before signing day.

Wow. What a hurtful statement. The girls have fought so much this season and have been underrated by everyone. Winning this game means even more to me now.

LSU just lost to Ole miss at home on senior not. They didn't play with Johnson but Morrow is a beast. I wonder why Jersey doesn't get that much time. I honestly thought when she transfered there she might start.
