Yes and, despite the refs' "ruling," Buggs getting punched in the face does not equate a "fight."

Nothing can be done now, but I certainly hope to see the team rally around her and show a great resolve because of what certainly seems to be a situation she did not provoke and was essentially allowed to happen because the great officials that CNC talked about chose to not blow whistles when it was certainly called for.

Collen explained that in another thread...and she is on the rules committee, evidently. There's no appeal process for "fighting" and this situation fit that description. Lesson learned, I suspect, just like Barncastle learned at Tech. AS the wise one said, "We'll see."

this is the best wbb game on the docket tonight thus one i catch on the plus. seems to me to be a good sorting game between the two who have both been up and down a tad. both 4-1 in conference with 3 losses each overall. not sure if uu will have their best player, gianna kneepkens, back to offset y'all losing buggs for this one?

You mean Kennady McQueen for Utah not Gianna. Kennady is a starter who averages double figures but not best player. Kennady had a high ankle sprain against Iowa state.

shows how much i follow utah, scotty. i just know they had one of the best scorers out for the k-state game. from what i have seen, maye' toure' (plays the five) is their best player, a french girl, grad student transfer, i think.

Really messes with our rotation. Going to have to be adaptable and each player pick up a little slack. That saying, "We got your back…? Well, we'll get to see tonight if Bugg's teammates have her "six." Fingers crossed!

Sad, but true. IMHO Buggs gets excited, but have never seen her act aggressively in anger against another player. Her expression relayed disbelief rather than anger after the ASU player punched her twice. I hope the ASU coach benches Fauntleroy an additional game for egregious misconduct.

If you look at the video, Buggs gets shoved while trying to get into rebounding position. Then when the ball goes elsewhere and she rotates to the low block, Fauntleroy throws an elbow to her chin, then a second elbow to her upper arm. DLB stops and turns around to look straight at the official whose call it was like she was expecting a whistle. When he failed to act, she turned back, gave a little body shove and Fauntleroy throws a third elbow to her face. Only then did DLB extend her arms in any sort of manner.

BTW the official under the basket who failed to make the call apparently was Michael Price. Don't know if its the same one who also refs WNBA games. If you google him, apparently his career highlight was pulling a hammy during an NCAA game last year between USC and A&M-Corpus.

Stuck at work and donated my tickets to Baylor friends. Tonight is a good night to showcase for recruits and bet we have a few. Can anyone report if they ID anyone? Usually sit behind the goals. Sad I can't be there to cheer on our team.
